Breaking the Slot Code review

The book came out too late. Too many people already know about slot advantage play. The gravy years were 4-7 years ago when you could easily make $500 a day or more. I know multiple people who made 250k a year or more. The last two years have been really bad . Many players have moved on to other things or are making $15 per At best. The truly dedicated player with a sufficient bankroll can still make 6 figures but that’s few and far between.

I see that in otherwise great joints the slot parc has been completely shuffled and new generation slots habe been put into operation.

The most recent slots to me seem to have illusionary bonus baskets or similar stuff that keeps groing but in reality it means zilch.

I made $52.40 on one vulture opportunity today; it took me about 10 minutes from cash-in to cash-out at the redemption machine. The maximum possible loss was $48. I was heading to the bar to play DB VP.

How did you know what the "maximum possible loss" was?

The casinos really didn't like the way the bonusing slots turned out. The vultures degrade the ploppies' experiences, since they ensure that the enticing "ready to hit" bonuses don't last very long. And pretty much by design and definition, if you play and don't hit the bonus, you'll do worse than if you had the equivalent luck on a non-bonusing machine. The bonusing machine will only cough up a payback of about 60% exclusive of the bonuses; a regular game will cough up 85-90%.

I saw one machine, Fat Smiling Chinese Guy or some such, that was doing exactly what you describe. A losing spin with a green whatever would activate a little trail of stars that wound up in the green pot, yellow whatever in the yellow pot, etc. But nothing actually got larger. It was just a tiny little dose of dopamine to make the player think that he had accomplished something with his losing spin.

I thought you said you were knowledgeable on this topic? On this machine, you know every time. Buy the book.
