Name the song the line is from Part II

Good Morning All,

That explains it, Jim. They don’t sing “For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her” in the song. So, I didn’t catch on to the title.
I believe yours is “Go to Pieces”. Was it Chad and Jeremy or Peter and Gordon? I get them a little confused sometimes.

This charted a few times:

I'll send you all my love every day in a letter

I Go To Pieces was done by Peter and Gordon. I also get them confused with Chad and Jeremy sometimes.

Your latest is Sealed With A Kiss. The version I remember best was done by Brian Hyland.

Let's try this one:

Afraid and shy, I let my chance go by
A chance that you might love me, too

Let's see if a few more lines will help:

I never knew the art of making love
Though my heart aches with love for you
Afraid and shy, I let my chance go by
A chance that you might love me, too

The song is from 1962. It was a #2 hit in the US (#9 in the UK).

I think it's fair to say that the artist, now deceased, was an American icon.

Looks like that one isn't going to work.

It was You Don't Know Me, by Ray Charles.

I'm out of ideas for the moment, so I'll leave the floor open.

Okay, Jim. This was #4 in 1962 (US) #2 (UK):

I love you and I’m dreaming of you, but that won’t do
I wish you'd left the Ray Charles song up there longer, Jim. I would have gotten it, but I wasn't online all day.

BTW, the biggest version of "Memphis" was by Johnny Rivers, I believe, not Chuck Berry. Rivers did a concert at Aliante about a week ago.
Welcome back, Sue. It's good to read you. You might know the last one. What do think?
I'm drawing a blank, Cyndee.

Roy Orbison - Dream Baby

Missed Jims reference to 1962 - I was thinking fifties,

She pulls away and leaves him with a smile

That one is “Lyin’ Eyes” by The Eagles.

How about a ballad from 1969?

When the sun comes a-singin', I'll still be waitin'
