Name the song the line is from Part II

Sorry N’cat,

I googled and still don’t know it. I’ll be watching though.

Sorry, same here.

listen I'm gone til Monday so that was (shame on youse) Bad Sneakers by Steeley Dan
here's a lobe ball:

Remember me to me to one who lives there

I would say that's Scarborough Fair, by Si and Gar.

Here's one from 1976:

Takin' a dive 'cause you can't halt the slide

Hi All,

I believe that’s “It’s a living thing” by E.L.O.

Same year from a film:

Time won't change the meaning of one love

I remember the song because I think it did pretty well on the charts, but I couldn't tell you the name of the film. I'm sure I never saw it.

I think the song is Evergreen, by Streisand. I hope that's right.

From the 60s:

One can have a broken heart, livin' in misery

Yeah Jim,

Evergreen did real well. It won all sorts of awards including the Oscar. The film was A STAR IS BORN.

Yours is “It takes two” by Marvin and Tammy.

Next:

I can stand up and face the world

Edited for capitals I missed.

I believe that's Higher and Higher, by Jackie Wilson.

Even though this one was a #5 hit in 1974, I'm a little worried about it because the band wasn't very well known. I'll give it a try:

Never been awake
Never seen a day break
Leaning on my pillow in the morning light

OK, hint time.

Some info about the band (probably not helpful):

This band, with a one-word name, was founded in Edinburgh, Scotland by two musicians who had briefly been members of the Bay City Rollers.

Some additional lyrics, including the one-word song title (possibly helpful):

Never been awake
Never seen a day break
Leaning on my pillow in the morning light

Oh, ho, ho
It's _____, you know
Never believe it's not so

I do recognize the chorus there. I thought the name of the song was “It’s Magic”, but it must be “Magic” instead. Who did that?

I’m not sure how much national air play this one got in 1986, but I heard it a lot:

Let's loose our way, go completely astray
