Name the song the line is from Part II

I think that's something like Accentuate The Positive, right? I don't know if he was first, but I'm pretty sure Bing Crosby did a popular version.

I'm fairly confident about that one, so I'll post new lyrics. I'll take 'em down if I'm wrong.

This was a #1 hit in 1976:

I couldn't really blame you if you turned and walked away
But with everything I feel inside, I'm asking you to stay

You're right, Jim. Carry on ...

I’m sure that’s “Torn Between Two Lovers" by some Mary, I forget which one.

Next one:

I've been in my mind,
it's such a fine line

That be Heart Of Gold, by Neil Young.

Back to the 60s for this one:

She's been a little wallflower
On the shelf
Standing by herself

That’s a little before my time, Jim. But I never let that stop me. It’s “Let the little girl dance”. I don’t recall who did it though.

Here’s one just a year newer:

If you wanted a love to last forever
Then I would send my love your way
And my love would not only last forever
But forever and a day

The Searchers - Sugar and Spice,

I'll leave it open as I am out all day tomorrow

Editied to add - the B side was the worst ever recording of , "When the Saints Go Marching In" - al least I have yet to hear one that is worse

Sorry , Tony. "Sugar and Spice" is not the name of the song. You did get one of the groups that did it and the title does talk about tastes. Here’s one more line to help.

Your perfect kiss thrills me so

Edit: Oops, I wasn't quite finished

Tony, I believe that last one was Sweets For My Sweet. I thought the Drifters did it first, but maybe the Searchers had an earlier version. Don't know for sure.

Anyway, since you left the floor open, here's an easy one (I think ) from 1968. It was a #2 hit in the UK, and a #3 hit in the US:

Although you're untrue
I'm attracted to you
All the more

Yeah- I guess the partying after tonight's hockey game went to my head
Don't know how I could have missed that one - that was home!
Sweets for my Sweet was the Searchers first hit - but it wasn't the first hit for the song - Jim got that one.
