Name the song the line is from Part II

A few more lines:

As we taxied down the runway, I could hear the people shout
They said, "Don't come back here, yankee!"
But if I ever do, I'll bring more money
'Cause

Good Morning All,

I really like that one, Jim. It’s “All she wants to do is dance”. Was it The Eagles or just Don Henley?

I think this is from 1959:

Oh, tell me where, the answer lies

I've nearly posted that one a few times recently myself, Cyn. You beat me to it.

A Lover's Question, by Clyde McPhatter.

Another oldie:

Just before the angels come to carry me
I want it down in writin' how to bury me

(All She Wants To Do Is Dance was a solo effort by Henley, from his Building The Perfect Beast album)

I'll go out on a limb here. Is it "Send me to glory in a glad bag"?

Edit: I grabbed the wrong emoticon

Jim, is that the one about "Tan Shoes & Pink Shoelaces?"

Yep, that's it. Pink Shoelaces was a #3 hit for 13-year-old Dodie Stevens in 1959. She still performs occasionally at doo-wop concerts, and works as a singing and performance coach.

You're up, Sue.

"Look up, is that the moon I see?
Can't be, looks like the sun to me"
That’s “It’s late” by Ricky Nelson.

This is nice:

Well, he told if I try,
I could fly for you
And I wanna try for you. 'cause

That one sounded so familiar, but I just couldn't place it at first.

I think it's called Love Song (?), as in I wanna sing you a love song...

The version I remember was done by Anne Murray.

This melancholy song was written and first recorded in the early 60s, but it didn't really become popular until a 1970 version topped the R&B charts, and also hit #4 on the Billboard Hot 100:

It's life, and you just got to play the game

More lines, and a hint:

How many times I wondered
It still comes out the same
No matter how you look at it or think of it
It's life, and you just got to play the game

The Peach State is mentioned in the song title, but a train is not.
