Name the song the line is from Part II

That be “The New Kid in Town” by The Eagles.

I’m going back to 1972 for this:

Holding hands, making all kinds of plans

It figures. I remember Bobby's Girl like it was yesterday, and then I have trouble with this one. Sheesh.

Anyway, it finally clicked. It's Me and Mrs. Jones, by Billy Paul.

This one is from 1965:

She used to love me, that I know

That's probably not enough of a hint. A few more lines:

She used to love me, that I know
And it don't seem so long ago
That we were walking
And we were talking
The way that lovers do
I like that one, Jim. That’s “You’ve got your troubles, I’ve got mine”.

This sold a million copies in 1959:

Gee, we're gonna miss you
Everybody sends their love

Wow. Great tune. I haven't heard that song or even thought about it for years and years: Three Stars (I'm not sure who did it but it's a tribute to Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper).

How about this:

You say although we broke up you still wanna be just friends
That’s “You keep me hangin’ on” by The Supremes and Vanilla Fudge.

Here’s a little 1972:

I would be runnin' but my feet’s too slow

iI got the Rockin pnu-monia and the BOODIE-WOOGIE BLUES!

say it loud so I can hear you,
make it easy to be near you...
Hi All,

I’m out. The song kept playing in my head with no apparent title. It was driving me crazy, so I googled. It's a good one.

Edit: Where'd my spelling skills go?

I've been , but so far .
I think that is I WILL by Ben Taylor
