Sold over 100 million albums
Once in Guinness for being loudest band
Brit (Natch )

Here is the opening verse

-------- -------- is not right,
I don't feel so bright,
I don't care to sit tight.
Maybe I'll find on the way down the line

My apologies - just discovered that the above song was nowhere near the hit in the US as it was in the UK. It charted but not too well.

So I have pulled it and replaced it with another song from the same band that was a big hit in the US in 1973

We ended up at the Grand Hotel
It was empty cold and bare
But with the Rolling truck Stones thing just outside
Making our music there

Not at all sure but~~

Grand Funk Railroad? We're an American Band..???!?
If so:

Treasure these few words til we're together..
For your precious love it is!.327 on the rolling stones top 500 list. I think of the original by Jerry Butler as being one of those top classics that stand the test of time. Bob
Hi All,

That’s some good stuff there. Tony’s latest is “Smoke on the water” by Deep Purple.

This one from 1975 gets a lot of play on my favorite stations:

I don't have to run around
I don't have to stay out all night

Some kind of wonderful-Grand Funk

How about:

For six long years I've been in trouble,
No pleasures here on earth I found.
Love it!!

(I am a) Man of Constant Sorrow-- Soggy Bottom Boys (aka) John Turturro and George Clooney

again:

Treasure these few words til we're together..

This foreign language song is from a sixties movie.
The English version was covered by many different singers.
The first time it was a Billboard hit (in English) it reached number 13 -

Just name the day that you like the best,

I remember that from when I was a little kid. It’s “Never on a Sunday”. But, I never associated it with any one artist.

My mother loved this one:

I wondered should I go or should I stay,
The band had only one more song to play.

Never on Sunday,by the Chordettes,also in greek,by ???

.Woops,You beat me to it!!!
The last Waltz,Engelbert Hump something.

A car song...

Wound it up to 110
My speedometer said I hit top end
