Name the song the line is from Part II

It is a very pretty song, Jim. “With You, I’m Born Again” by Billy Preston and Syreta Something.

This charming one is from 1984:

It's like a rainy night in candlelight
And, ooh it's so romantic

Edit: I misspelled a little

Very nice, Cyn. It's We're In This Love Together, by Al Jarreau. I like that one a whole lot.

Before I post lyrics, I think I see that Sue has logged on. Sue, you're welcome to post if you'd like, for guessing American Pie earlier today.

Well, looks like I missed Sue for tonight.

I'm going to logout for the evening. If you guys on Pacific Time want to continue to post/play, please feel free to go ahead and do so; I'd be happy to give up my turn.

I can still intercept Sue if she logs in tomorrow morning, and see if she wants to post. Owing to the fact that I'm two time zones to the East, I'm usually on well ahead of her.

See everyone tomorrow.

Hey, Sue, do you remember that guess you made yesterday? Well, you guessed right!

You're up! Whatcha got?

I'm having trouble thinking of something, Jim. I guess I'll post this easy one --

"He looked right through me
as if I weren't there"

Hi All,

That’s a good one, Tony. It’s David Essex with “Rock On”.

Here’s a big hit from 1970:

Reading, writing and arithmetic
are the branches of the learning tree

An easy one (really, it is ) first recorded in 1961 by a very well known American artist, went to #2 US, #1 UK. Covered many times since then. A 1993 cover by a British reggae band went to the top of the charts in the US and UK:

Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Our love was meant to be

It’s a true classic. The lovely “Can’t Help Falling In Love With You”, most notably by Elvis Presley.

Nobody can miss this standard:

Shovel all the coal in
Gotta keep it rollin'
