Name the song the line is from Part II

Hush it is. Deep Purple in 1968, Kula Shaker in 1999.

Let's try this one:

No angel born in hell
Could break that satan's spell

Isn't that from American Pie?

Gotta go to work ... catch 'ya later.

Here is a mid sixties that charted quite well in US and UK

************* NEW ***************

And she passes looks as well as bills

Me liked that one. It's A Well Respected Man, by the Kinks.

After this one was released as an album track in 1970, there were at least three separate singles releases. As a result, it acheived its best chart performance in the US (#10) in 1972, and in the UK (#4) in 1982:

Like a fool, I fell in love with you
Turned my whole world upside down

(Sue - You're up at your convenience)

Sounds a lot like Layla - Mr Eric Clapton!

*********** NEW*************

Seventies -

But baby baby there's fever in the funkhouse now

Edited to add -
Let's see if the opening line helps -

Women think I'm tasty, but they're always tryin' to waste me

Tonyrob

That be Tumbling Dice, by the Stones. For some reason, it seems to fit pretty well with this website

This is from 1972. American band (US #7, UK #1):

And we got no innocence
We can't even think of a word that rhymes

That song is by a Detroit native, Vincent Fournier, better known as Alice Cooper "Schools Out"

From 1968,

Oh girl, why won't you let me love you
and let your troubled heart be free Bob
And let your troubled heart be free Bob?

Just kiddin', Bob. I believe that is There Is, by the Dells.

This was a pretty 1979 Male/Female duet by (hint) two Motown artists:
(M=Male, F=Female, B=Both)

M: I was half, not whole, in step with none
F: Reaching through this world, in need of one
B: Come show me your kindness, in your arms I know I'll find this

Edit: Forgot to mention that it charted #4 US/#2 UK.
