Name the song the line is from Part II

I think that It's Memphis Tennessee
I'll check back later.

Too late

I'll drive a million miles
To be with you tonight
So if you're feeling low
Turn up your radio

I loved that damn thing, Cyn. What a fun song!

It's Everybody Have Fun Tonight, by Wang Chung. Because of the name, everyone thought they were an Asian band when, in fact, they were British.

OK, I got some serious 1961 here:

I saw your lips, I heard your voice
Believe me, I just had no choice
Wild horses couldn't make me stay away

Hello Mary Lou - Rick Nelson??

If that is correct, then I have one, if not; just ignore my answer and keep on going! LOL

Way down the street there's a light in his place
You open the door, he's got that look on his face
He asks you where you been; you tell him who've you seen
And you talk about anything.

That's Baker Street, by Gerry Rafferty.

Nice to have you aboard, jlang.

I apologize, but for some strange reason, my wayback machine is hummin' this morning:

A wave out on the ocean
Could never move that way

Didn't we just do that song recently? "Poetry in Motion?"

I'm leaving for work, so someone else will have to post new lyrics.

Yep, we did. My bad. Sorry.

How 'bout this one from the early 70s:

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose
And most times you choose between the two

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose
And most times you choose between the two

This song was probably a disappointment for this female singer/pianist, because it reached only the #9 position on the charts. She sang several #1 hits herself and, together with her husband, wrote many for others, including:

Will You Love Me Tomorrow (Shirelles)
Take Good Care Of My Baby (Bobby Vee)
Crying In The Rain (Everly Brothers)
One Fine Day (Chiffons)
Pleasant Valley Sunday (Monkees)

At some point in time, she added an 'e' to the end of the first name she was given by her parents.

It is carole King of course. " Sweet Seasons" hard to believe it only go as far as #9.

I want to leave you
Don't want to stay here
I don't want to spend
Just one more day here

That sounds a whole lot like Smokey and The Miracles. You've Really Got A Hold On Me.

This one was later covered by others, but the original dates back to 1965:

Keep on doin' the jerk right now
Shake it, shake it baby
Come on and show me how you work

A few more lines, and a hint or two:

Keep on doin' the jerk right now
Shake it, shake it baby
Come on and show me how you work

Now you're in motion
Keep on doin' the locomotion, yeah

The band is from Memphis, Tennessee. Three-word song title. In the lyrics, the singer is asking his girl to keep on doing something or other.
