Name the song the line is from Part II

It's not "Lo-Co-Motion"?

Do the Locomotion?

I'm confused cuz you used the title as lyrics

JM, I haven't mentioned the title in the lyrics.

I'm not totally sure but is it DANCING AND A PRANCING? Or something on those lines.
It is "Keep on Dancin". I saw those lines two or three times before it clicked.

The smell of cookin' in the hallways
Rubbers drying in the doorways

That's a good one Mr. Phil. Not one of his biggest hits, but definitely one of my favorites.

It's Brooklyn Roads, by Neil Diamond.

Here's an easy one from the early 60s:

Who will love you with a love true
When your ramblin' days are gone?

That's "Ramblin' Rose" by Nat King Cole.

New lyrics --

"There's a reason for the candlelight"

(I'm doing this from memory, so I hope I got it right, lol)
Sue, is that by the Bellamy Brothers ?

Sure sounds like it to me.

Yes, it is. Now guess the name of the song.

Here's an extra line --

"There's a reason for the warm sweet nights,
and there's a reason for the candlelight"

It was a crossover hit in 1976.

I thunk Phil was gonna answer, but I guess not.

It's the Bellamy Brothers, as already noted, singing Let Your Love Flow. Great song.

I'm pretty sure that song was from about 1975 or 1976. I think this one was from about the same time period, within a year or so:

It's cold here in the city
It always seems that way
And I've been thinkin' about you
Almost every day
