Name the song the line is from Part II

That's "She's Got You," by Patsy Cline. Great song, Phil!

Nothing new is coming to mind right now, so the floor is open.

Bony Maroney-- I have that from John Lennon's Rock & Roll album.

she's as skinny as a stick of macaroni...

that album and the cool slicked hair cover photo is
his tribute to the beginnings of rock n roll

no one knows what it's like to be the bad man

That was it - Little Richard Version -

Well, I got a girl named Bony Maronie,
She's as skinny as a stick of macaroni.
Well, I told her that I love her and I love her so,
Well, I’ll never never never let her go.
I love her and she loves me, all I ever could hope to be,
We can dance underneath the apple tree.

Hi All,

I’ll take that open floor and put this on it.

Here’s one from 1978:

You get too much you get too high
Not enough and you're gonna die
Love gets you high

Edit: Cleaned up a sloppy post

I think that's Love Is Like Oxygen, by Sweet. Good One!

From 1986:

Here comes Johnny singing oldies, goldies
Be-Bop-A-Lula, Baby What I say

I did a search, and here's what I found:

"This old folk song "Boney Maroney" was written by LARRY WILLIAMS - The full song is as under -

I got a girl named Boney Maronie
She's as skinny as a stick of macaroni
Ought to see her rock and roll with her blue jeans on
She's not very fat, just skin and bones

I love her and she loves me
Oh, how happy now we can be
making love underneath the apple tree

Well, I told her mama and her papa too
Just exactly what I wanna do
I wanna get married on a night in June
And rock and roll by the light of the silvery moon

She's my one and only, she's my heart's desire
She's a real upsetter, she's a real live wire
Everyone turns when my baby walks by
She's something to see, really catches the eye

That's why I love her, she loves me
Oh how happy now we can be
Makin' love underneath the apple tree -

This is the version that was popular in the U.S. Is it possible it was "cleaned up" in the UK, taking out the "making love" part?

Thanks Sue - hadn't heard that one.
The lyrics that I knew were from Little Richard Live (Maybe after he got religion? )
I played that until I wore it out on my new Decca STEREO!!! record player
Here it is

That one is “The Walk of Life” by Dire Straits.

Back to1979:

Out on the floor
There ain't nobody there but us
Girl, when you dance
There's a magic that must be love

Not too much I'd get from that period but I can get Michael - Rock with You.

I've never heard those lyrics. But I'm going to make a wild guess anyway -- "In the Year 2525." Could that possibly be it?
You gotta it, Sue. How about some new lyrics ?
