Alaska Senator Dan Sullivan discusses Biden drilling obstruction on CNBC

No - I didnt make an argument.   The ceo's of the domestic oil companies did.    And their explanation of their business, how it works, and what they are doing in the upcoming year contradicts the bullshit Boilerman has been spewing on this thread and several others.

So who understands Chevron's business and supply management better?  THeir ceo?  Or Boilerman?

I'm going with the former.    And I'm calling bullshit on Boilerman's fictional story about supply.

Sleepy restricts fraring, and that's magical.  Tell us that it's good for the environment, it's good for the World, but don't tell me that it doesn't restrict oil and gas production.

BTW PJ, the data on how quickly fracked wells deplete is readily available for those who are interested.  Some prefer to stick their head in the sand.

PJ, you can argue that Sleepy's regulations are good for the environment, but any serious person knows that his policies are obstructind oil and gas production.

Boiler, do you realize you're arguing from belief and not facts, and how silly doing that makes you look?

Yep, my beliefs have lots to do with documented fracked well oil production levels by year from inception.

Your beliefs have everything to do with how you view the administration's policies. Crucially, your beliefs dictate which information you consider and which you willfully ignore. That leads to a lack of objectivity.

That's pretty common when you reach a conclusion before, rather than after, you consider the facts.

Methane caps are good for the environment...and they have nothing to do with restricting current oil supply.  The ceo's attest as much unless you  think you have a better handle on their business than they do.

I cant help you with that.

Forcing oil companies to have have blowout protection in the gulf hinders their job too.    But we saw what happened when they didnt have that in place....and we remember how upset you were the government held them accoutable in the wake of the big spill in 2009.    I'm fine with the government forcing companies to drill in an environmentally safe way.   I cant imagine why anyone would object to that.

Methane caps do effect today's oil production.  Low producing wells are shut down instead of spending money to stop leaks.  New, but unfinished wells sit unused because they can't flare, and Sleepy and friends are obstructing a needed new gas pipeline.  With no new wells, Bakken loses 10% of it output per year.  Would you invest in oil if the president says he's going to squash oil and gas production?

PJ, BP had a BOP.  In fact, one of Pete's old companies, Oceaneering, cut off the stack and capped the Deepwater Horizon well head.

Except the oil companies have said they are increasing production....and they are getting more leases.   More under Biden than his predecessor.    Both of which have been spelled out on this thread with credible sources.

Show me one public statement from any oil company that says they wont drill new wells because of Methane regulations.    One statement with link.    Converstations with  your friend dont count.    And if you cant produce that link can we just assume you're making shit up again?

Anyone who even got a C in Economics 101 knows that increased costs hinder whatever business is forced to absorb those costs.

PJ must have flunked that class
