At any rate, I call BS on the story. You can't cut two pieces of exhaust pipe with a hacksaw unless you have about fifteen minutes AND room to maneuver. You need an acetylene torch and an auto lift to do it even sort of quickly.
Plus, there's no market, even an illegitimate one, for a converter that's been hacked off another car. The fittings and pipes at each end would remain; plus, there would be no way to tell if the converter is any good. They have salvage value in the metal used as the catalyst, but that isn't all that much.
Who knows why the guy was under her car--he might have been a nefarious nogoodnik up to some form of malfeasance, especially if he was black (you know how THAR ALL CRINIMALS), but that didn't grant the driver a license to kill him.

And as far as "consequences" are concerned--I don't want to live in a society so well-armed and paranoid that I can be shot or run over for appearing to touch someone's property with evil intent. I don't trust Goober McGun to make those kinds of decisions rationally.

1. Catalytic converter thieves don't use fucking 'hacksaws' or take 15 minutes. They slide under your vehicle and cut them out with a battery powered reciprocating saw. Takes about a minute..
2. Kevin claims there is no market for converters. If that were true how does he explain the theft of 50,000+ devices in 2021? Of course they are stealing them to take to corrupt recyclers for the platinum they contain. They get $150 - $300 for them as scrap. It costs victims $2000- $3000 to replace.
3. Police know exactly why he was under her car....with a battery powered saw. Also detained were his 3 accomplices. I guess Kevin thinks he was giving her a free lube job.
4. The woman was asleep in her SUV. She woke up and tried to drive away...not expecting a criminal to be underneath. She heard a bump and stopped. Got out and called 911. That’s not murder you fucking idiot. The woman is the victim here. The criminal thief was just another case of “Play Stupid Games Win Stupid Prizes”
5. There are plenty of sources on this other than Fox News. If Kevin was interested in anything other than spouting his ignorant and false thoughts he should read. He won't do that though.
