Tom, let me clue you in on how it works. Criminal investigations are conducted by the police not the AG of the state. The police had a suspect and they were conducting an investigation. Criminal prosecutions are handled by county/municipal prosecutors not the AG of a state. The AG was in no position to have knowledge of the case until the suspect was arrested. Even then he would only have knowledge of the case if it had public noterity. The case doesn't even go to the local prosecutor until the investigation has concluded.
Either he is grossly incompetent as he doesn't know how criminal cases work in his own state or he is an intentional liar. Either way he broke the rules of professional conduct by publicly disparaging a victim. He is a disgrace.
The reporting of the incest was not reported at the time the AG,was interviewed, which is what the AG stated. He is neither incompetant or an intentional liar - he stated what he knew when interviewed. Arizona requirements for reporting rape, abuse and incest -Arizona Who is required to report?
