Well, you don't keep the meat loaf in the fridge, it's eventually gonna spoil. Just like vaccines.
Was he unvaxed? I didnt see anything to that effect in the articles I've read.

Yep, he was unvaxed. I think it's stupid not not get the shot, but I fully support one's choice to be stupid.

Every time anyone says something like that, it sounds like "It's stupid to drive down the freeway at 100 mph, but I fully support one's choice to be stupid."
Uh uh. You don't get to be stupid if doing so endangers and/or harms others. Nope nope nope.
In other words, fuck your freedom to make me sick, all you no-vaxxer assholes out there.
(BTW, I fully support anyone's right to kill themselves if they so choose.)
I'm largely ok with people deciding not to get vaccinated. But then they shouldnt be able to use our hospitals when they get sick with COVID.
Hospitals are losing staff and burning out the ones who stay behind because of the burden taking care of the unvaxed. The plight of those people is the bigger tragedy- I dont have much sympathy for the unvaxed.

How much sympathy does PJ have for the obese with covid complications? An overweight person is three times more likely to be hospitalized with covid than someone with a good BMI. Not to mention all of the obese people clogging up hospital beds with coronary artery disease and complications from self-inflicted diabetes.
Should fat people be banned from hospitals too? What about other stupid people like injured DUI drivers and criminals? These are all life choices too, right? Maybe PJ would support a social scoring system to see who lives according to government edicts and health recommendations and deserves medical care and who does not.

Some of your examples are already penalized. DUI drivers can have their medical claims denied in most states. Smokers pay higher insurance premiums than non-smokers. So its not some radical idea, is it?
In addition to the burned out staffs at hosipitals you now have recorded instances of ambulances not being able to get to people suffering from non-covid accidents....like heart attacks, strokes, seizures, etc. Those people have to get in line behind the QaNon retards who think Covid is a hoax right up to the day they're on a ventilator.
So, yes, any easily resolved life choice that overruns our healtcare system the way unvaxxed people are doing right now should be penalized. Massively. I dont feel like Kim Jung Un saying that either.

True some are already penalized, but not denied medical care as PJ wants. PJ wishes for no hospital care for the unvaxxed, nocancer treatment for former smokers, and BMI checks before emergency room admittance. Hell, why even allow the unvaxxed to leave their houses? They're a public menace, right comrade? Even the ones with Natural Imunity. And they say Republicans are the Authoritarians.
And for the record I'm double vaxxed and boosted so I'm no anti-vaxer. I'm just pro choice and think the decision to vax should be between you and your doctor. Not between you and your government or you and your employer.
If you cant argue my point wiothout putting words in my mouth about other things I didn't say then you dont have a point yourself, do you?
Smokers and BMI patients have not overrun our hospitals and forced nurses to work double shifts to the point of exhaustion. Nor have they put other patients with other emergencies on the back burner waiting for room to open up at the ER. Nor have they made everyone else in the economy accomodate them for their decision by having to wear masks, social distance, limit attendance, and hinder or even shut down parts of the economy.
So, Charles, what do you think should be the penalty (if any) for people who voluntarily cause that much harm both physically and economically to the society they live in? Or does their personal freedom mean everyone else has to just deal with it?
