And I would do anything for love, But I won't get vaxed

So much for Joe defeating the virus like he said he was gonna do.

How much sympathy does PJ have for the obese with covid complications?  An overweight person is three times more likely to be hospitalized with covid than someone with a good BMI.  Not to mention all of the obese people clogging up hospital beds with coronary artery disease and complications from self-inflicted diabetes.

Should fat people be banned from hospitals too?  What about other stupid people like injured DUI drivers and criminals?  These are all life choices too, right?  Maybe PJ would support a social scoring system to see who lives according to government edicts and health recommendations and deserves medical care and who does not.

Charles, you're ignoring the simple, childishly obvious fact that being obese doesn't endanger anyone else. Therefore, comparing that with going unvaxxed is absurd.

That said, many private insurers--you know, good ol' American capitalism, yay Trumpie-poo--deny and have always denied coverage and treatment to people with all sorts of medical risk factors, some of which are due to lifestyle choices and some of which are not.

And just so you know--there is no such thing as "natural immunity," even though you seem to love that term. There is natural infection resistance, which is something altogether different.

You may have given up, but he hasn't.

I'm sure that our resident liberals also argue that people who drop out of school should not be allowed to receive government subsidies.  After all, these subsidies hurt me.

But no...............we're all to familiar with Liberal double standards.

Reject the covid vaccination--then why use a car seat belt?  That is a restriction of freedom to drive or ride in at any comfort level one pleases.

I wear my seat belt, but do not believe that I should be mandated to wear my seat belt.  I no longer ride a motorcycle, but I do not believe one should be mandated to wear a helmet.

I fully support insurance companies charging non-seat belt customers a higher premium.

Thats an incredibly fringe position as even the most libertarian states have seatbelt laws.   But its also a moot point.

Unvaxxed people put an undue  burden on eveyone else.   Whether thats burnt out nurses, higher insurance premiums,  backlog of emergency and non-emergency procedures, economic hinderance,..and everyone else having to wear masks and socially distance to accomodate them.

So unless you think all of that is a fair trade for the QaNon Shaman's free choice then your comparison doesnt really hold water, does it?

PS - its interesting to note how suddenly Republicans are all about "My Body, My CHocie" when it comes to getting the Covid vaccine.  Not so much when it comes to abortion.

I'm all for my body my choice.  One has the right to keep his own body at home, isolated, and safe.  A baby doesn't have such a choice during abortion.

No one in the history of the world has ever aborted a baby.
