And so it begins

I know Tucky Buckford is relieved and smiling to know he is legal.

I think I know Tucky, met him at a hoe down, or maybe it was a hayride.  Something like that.

DonDiego apologizes.   This was not just another weekend.  The Chicago citizenry outdid themselves:

Ref:  104 shot, 14 fatally, over Father's Day weekend in Chicago

I almost commented on this before as I had reviewed the weekend shooting data with a Chicago friend of mine.  They hood boys were quite exceptional in numbers shot, but their accuracy is still poor.

Stop selling guns at gun shows.

Oh wait... That's probably what you do.

Actually, some brick-and-mortar gun dealers in Gary, Indiana, spitting distance from Chicago, sometimes allow illegal straw purchases of guns destined for criminals in Chicago.

When a gun dealer knowingly does that and a crime is committed with a gun, they should serve the same sentence as the shooter. It's only fair.

Todd, I don't own any guns.  I've never bought a gun.  I've never sold a gun.  Actually, my parents did buy my older brothers a couple of BB guns, and these guns were later handed down to me.

Mayor Lightweight will be all over that problem.

It will be taken care of just like her latest hair style was during the lockdowns and she went out and got one anyway after scolding people that violated the lockdown.  Oops.....I'd hate to see her if her hair wasn't done if that is what it looks like styled.

In his post of 1:05pm 22 June, above, Kevin Lewis opines:" . . . the Second Amendment refers to the collective right of the people to form a militia, not for Tucky Buckford to amass an arsenal in his basement."

The Cornell Law School Legal Information Institute disagreees:

"In the 2008 case District of Columbia v. Heller, the Supreme Court held that the 'Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home.' "

I refer to the original language as written. The Supreme Court decision was absolutely incorrect.
