Another teen "Takeover" along Lincoln Park.

As usual PJs stats are half baked.  The GDP number is several years old & it includes the Chicago metropolitan area of which the city of Chicago is about a third.  Chicago's median income is substantially lower than several of the suburbs such as Naperville & Elgin

All the shit you conservitard idiots complain about isn't confined to the city limits of a metro area. It's stupid to consider the city all by itself and separate out the surrounding suburbs. PJ's stats are accurate and are the ones that should be used to answer any questions about GDP, population, etc.

Of course, the Boilerboob and stupid Tommie-poo approach is to cherry-pick and distort whatever stats "agree" with their preconceived notions.

How stupid.  The town that I grew up in, while in the same county as Chicago, has a conservative government.  Chicago has a hyper-liberal government.  I have never seen a begger or a homeless person in my town.  There are no smash and grags and no mass "shut downs" by teen punks.  My town would squash any of this stuff in short order.  On the other hand, Chicago government leaders have largely taken a hands off mentality to crime, smash and grabs, homelessness, begging, and teen "shut downs".

Government policies matter, as places like Chicago, Minneapolis, Portland and San Francisco are finding in painful fashion.  People with sensible minds have learned long ago, that companies and people have options to flee high taxes and crime, and to move away from it.  Liberals continue to chase people away with high taxes, leaving a revenue hole.  Their short term solution is ALWAYS to raise tax rates further, causing more companies and people to flee.

It's not rocket science.

Now PJ is using Kevin's tactic of including geography and GDP from Indiana, Wisconsin, and the far far suburbs.  Yes, these Conservative areas can do quite nicely.  This geograpy includes the town where I was raised.  This is not Chicago, and these areas ALL have their own governments and none are as hyper Liberal as Chicago.

Now PJ, if you were honest you would show only Chicago proper GDP, and you would show inflation adjusted GDP for Chicago ONLY.......since that is the area that we're talking about.  Your weak attempt at misleading us is quite the dishonest Kevin like slight of hand.  Did you guys take a class in how to misrepresent the truth?

BWAAAAA-HAHAHAHAHA.

Cook County GDP by year.

Care to make up anything else on this thread, Boilerman and Tom?

Oh, and the GDP and incomes of people living in the specifici area Boilerman always cries about is among the highest in Chicago Metro.  And Boilerman knows it because he likes to brag about how successful his friends are.

I love batting out the bullshit you make up.  Niether of you must have anyone intelligent in your inner circiles that actually knows how to use the internet.   Otherwise why would you set yourselves up to get dunked on so easily?  Excuse my mixing of metaphores.

This thread has been a blast. Thanks for making my week.    Lets do a quick summary of all the ridiculous, baseless bullshit statements Boilerman completely pulled out of his ass and I proved him wrong with real, citable data.

And as always, thanks for stopping by !

Boilerman :  "PJ says that everything in this area is fine, yet property values are dropping"

PJ's link :  Housing prices have increased in the neighborhood Boilerman cites

Boilerman:  "Cant go to Oak Street Beach on warm weather weekends because Black People"

PJ's link:  Oak Street Beach on Saturday, June 21 packed with people

Boilerman: "Liberal cities and politiicans are driving people away"

PJ's link:   Red State cities are losing the most people and it aint close

Boilerman:  "Liberal policies are causing higher unemployment"

PJ's Link:  Chicago unemployment at record low number as of May 2023

Boilerman: "liberal policies are causing econimc loss"

PJ's Link:   Chicago (not Metro - Chicago) GDP at record high    but metro is too.  Save that one for when Boilerman wants to talk bullshit about Red vs Blue states.

Pj is getting closer.  Chicago is one of 29 municipalities in Cook County & makes up a little more than half of the population.  Those suburban towns bring up the overall GDP.

Below is a better picture of the challenges of Chicago.

PJ's link: Red State cities are losing the most people and it aint close

4 year old data

PJ's link : Housing prices have increased in the neighborhood Boilerman cites

Actually down 7% from 11/22

* * *  *  SPOILER ALERT  * * ** *    I refute more bullshit on this thread with data.

Thats right, Tom.  Cook County includes South Chicago, Cicero, Midway Airport, Stone Park and all the other shitholes in the immediatte vicinity of downtown.   All of those neighborhoods are much worse than the affuent, multi-million dollar Lincoln Park adjacent neighborhood  Boilerman cries about.

And their GDP/unemployment  is doing better too (per my link)  despite the lying commentary you pulled our of your ass.

And how granular do you want me to get, Tom?  I mean, we'll excuse the fact that you've provided no data of any kind.   The exact "old Town" neioghborhood that Boilerman claims is losing people is actually gaining them.

Not only that - their incomes are higher year over year too !         I'll have to update my list of bullshit I've refuted on this thread.

Old Town, Chicago Population up 3.6% year over year....household income up by 3.5% year over year.

So where are you going to backpeddle next?  Is it just one block on Old Town that lost population?  Just the building Boilerman's friend lived in?  I dont know how much deeper you can stick your hand up your ass ?  Guess we'll find out !

What is your proof that "Chicago government leaders have largely taken a hands off mentality to crime"?

None? I thought so. Just like all of your baseless pronouncements (sorry to use big words here).

People are fleeing conservative cities and towns because of their horrible, stupid, and cruel policies. That's the sad reality. Living in a conservative place, there are fewer services and amenities. And you're surrounded by racists and bigots.

Conservatism is hell. Even for conservatives.
