AOC ripped for TikTok video arguing against banning Chinese-owned app

kevin's excuses for cortez gets weaker & weaker as he he keeps losing.  He should stop digging & go eat some ice cream

It is a matter of scale.  Cortez got $5-10,000 for her soon to be bankrupt company with $50k in revenue.  Amazon has 1.6m employees & 500+b in revenue.

There is plenty of housing in NY, kevin pretending there isn't any shows how dumb he really is

I don't need to make "excuses" for AOC the way Tom makes excuses for his hero, Trump. She has excellent REASONS to do what she does, regardless of whether stupid Tommie-poo approves.

Do you realize, stupid Tommie-poo, that you just made an excellent argument for why AOC's business should have received a tax break but Amazon shouldn't? Moron!

Yeah, "plenty of housing." $3000 a month for a one-bedroom apartment. Stupid Tommie-poo doesn't even know the basics about the city he (supposedly) lives in!

Stupid Tommie-poo.

I just asked Captain Obvious....turns out US House Representaives dont play any role in municipal decisions regarding companies being offered  a free pass on their municipal taxes.   Who knew ?

Note to kevin; NYC has 5 boroughs where housing is cheaper.  They also have this thing known as suburbs, which also have cheaper housing.

Do you realize, that you just made an excellent argument for why AOC's business should have received a tax break but Amazon shouldn't.

Actually it shows that business taxes in NY are to high

Not much cheaper. And if the Amazon workers live in the suburbs, that's several thousand more people commuting. Even you can see the problem with that, dim as you are.

Make up your mind on whether tax breaks are good or bad. I won't let you say that they're bad for AOC but just swell for Amazon.

Stupid Tommie-poo.

You don't live here, so you don'y know what you are talking about.

My 3 bedroom coop costs $2,100 per month including mortgage & maintenance.

Daily MTA ridership in 2019 was 3m.  An additional 25,000 in the system would add 0.8% to the daily ridership.

Keep digging you moron

I don't care what your housing costs are. You have a coop. Very few of the new Amazon workers would. But don't try to tell us you can rent even a studio for $2,100.

Those 25,000 people would be riding on only a few lines, and they would ALL wind up at one station and ultimately, the same line as well. So the additional burden on THAT part of the system would be one hell of a lot more than 0.8%.

There are 472 MTA stations in NYC. An average station would have about 7,000 riders passing through on a given day. So 25K more riders would result in more than quadruple the foot traffic through that one station.

Stupid Tommie-poo.

You have a coop. Very few of the new Amazon workers would.

Your continuing ignorance of NYC is amazing

There are 7,065 private residential co-op buildings of over 100 units. (Source: Page on nyc.gov)  Plus theere are over 1,000 buildings with less than 100 units

Assuming 125 units per building, there works out to almost 850,000 units & and that is not counting the smaller coops & the suburbs.  So there is a good chance Amazon workers would buy one.

So 25K more riders would result in more than quadruple the foot traffic through that one station.

Another ignorant statement. There are 4 subway lines in the area, plus 3 bus lines & Roosevelt Island with 11,000 residents is walkable.  So 25,000 people would not be going thru 1 station, plus everybody does not come and go at the same time.

As part of the deal Amazon was going to build a public school for 600 students.

But the moron keeps digging

Your idiot statements have more logical flaws than I care to point out. You think that 25,000 more people can be stuffed into NYC with no consequences whatsoever.

Stupid, stupid Tommie-poo.

Some context on how 25,000 people affect the population.  NYC population is 8m, so 25k is 0.3% of the city.  The NY metro area is 20.1m; so 25k is .001%.  I think we can absorb 25,000 people.

More context.  I grew up in the Parkchester complex in the Bronx; population 29,000.  Coop City in the Bronx has 44,000 residents.  Starret City & Lefrak City in Brooklyn & Queens have 10,000+ population.

The kevin hole keeps getting bigger
