Apparantly Democrat voters, as a group, are stupid

In this case, it appears that there are several stupid groups.

"The risk of ballot rejection varies by demographics and geography. The rate of rejection tends to be higher for BlackHispanicfemale and younger voters, as well as for people who don't usually vote by mail."

I'm shocked, I tell you.  How could it be that stupid people are more likely to vote Democrat?

https://news.yahoo.com/more-1-million-mail-ballots-090049801.html

I have confirmed that my mail in ballot has been received and accepted, and it was my first ever attempt at this method!  I'm obviously smarter than the folks listed above.

If you want to talk about stupid...well, we didn't vote for Trump, and we won't. You have, and you will.

Case closed.

It's very unlikely that you're smarter than anyone.

Blacks, Latinos, and especially younger people are less frequent, less experienced voters. And especially so with absentee voting, which has largely been the province of old farts.

But as everyone probably knows, the higher your education, the more likely you are to vote Democratic this year.

And Boilerman, you misspelled "apparently." I almost never criticize spelling here, but this time it seems pertinent.

Boiler is proud of his lack of English skills. He's proud of the fact that he smokes in public. He's proud of the fact that he doesn't wear a mask. He's proud of his stance that the way to solve the pandemic is to infect as many people as possible. And he's proud to be a loyal Trumper.

You want to talk about stupid...

Of course, Boiler...even Boiler...knows that ballots are rejected for any of a number of reasons, none of them having to do with the intelligence of the voter. If that was a criterion, Trump would receive exactly one vote--his own. The rest would be tossed aside because the voters, having voted for Trump, identified themselves as stupid.

By the way...hasn't Boiler been ranting about voter fraud? If so many ballots are rejected, doesn't that mean that those ballots are in fact being checked for authenticity? Kind of hard to march on both sides of the street!

Some states made it easier to vote by mail than others.  My state's process was complicated enough for me to decide to vote early in person.  I'm sure plenty of smarter folks had no trouble, but it wasn't such a simple process as I had read about for other states, including getting two witnesses.

Ballots are not rejected because of the stupidity of the voter.  Their rejected because the stupid voter can't figure out how to fill it out properly.  Sadly for Kevin, most of these stupid people are voting for Biden and friends.

I wear a mask every place which it's required.  Kevin knows this, yet chooses to ignore this truth.

I simply don't believe you, Boiler. What do you do when you're smoking?

And despite your lies, we all know that the stupid and uneducated vote Trump.

Yes, Boiler's bleat ignores the fact that some red states have made voting by mail an extremely complex and difficult process--by design, to achieve voter suppression--and that means that more ballots will be rejected.

Boiler's asinine contention that only Democrats' ballots are rejected is stupid, even for him.

Well I went ahead and did early voting yesterday.  Couldn't have been easier.

There was a longer line than I anticipated, but this is true all over town according to the news.

I actually parked and went to the line just to find out the hours for voting, and I'd go tomorrow or even Saturday.  It was cold and rainy all day.  By this time the rain was down to very light drizzle.  Line extended outside.  It was 5:15 pm and I knew that was likely to be a busier time which I would avoid. .

But the line was moving so quickly I thought I'm here, I got a parking place, why bother coming back?

I was behind about 4 people outside, all standing on 6 ft marks apart for social distancing.  Mask was required.  In no time at all I was waved inside and over to station 1, who took my ID, looked for my name on the rolls, asked me to tell my address (which was on the DL, I guess to confirm I was who I was.).  She directed me to another station where a lady printed a long piece of paper with something at the top, handed me a stylus and directed me to the actual voting machine, a modern touch screen.  Another person showed me where to insert this long piece of paper which brought up all candidates for election and how to mark my selections with the stylus, including the "next" buttons at the bottom of screens.

Clearly all these poll workers had the goal of speeding us through, as they were quick to pick up quizical looks on our faces and point us the way to the next stop.

I was surprised at the number of Presidential candidates.  Two pages full, at least a dozen or more.  Trump was the first name, Biden was on the second page.  Kanye West was the only other name I recognized, I think on the first page.  I didn't pick up on a reason for the order of names.  Certainly not alphabetical.  Biden was about in the middle left of the second page, two columns on both pages.

One complaint, I noticed the lady who showed me how to make my selections hung close to my left shoulder, like she was looking to see whom I voted for President, or maybe just if I used the stylus on the screen correctly.  I went back and forth on the two screens, taking longer than I really needed, until she gave up.  I can't swear that was her mission, just seemed like it.

Anyway, it was quick to go through and select the candidates using the stylus.  As usual there were some local offices for which I was unfamiliar with all candidates, but overall I was certain of those I voted for.

When I hit the "VOTE" button at the end (actually can't remember the exact wording but I knew it meant I was done), my "ballot" printed out, I stared at it with that lost look and immediately someone pointed me to the actual "voting machine", where a lady was sitting totally wrapped up in a blanket, looking bored and kinda pasty.  I asked her if she was cold, she said "yeah, even with this blanket."  Hmm, did I just expose myself to Covid?  Time will tell.

Anyhow she showed me where to insert the ballot, pointed to a table next to her with the "I Voted" sticker, said "Get a sticker, go out that way and you get a free meal."  What???  A free meal?  Sure enough, there was a food truck and a nice man asking "would you like some tacos?"  Sure.  I was given a styro container with two soft tacos, beef I think.  Took them home and gave one to husband.  They didn't look that impressive but honestly they were very tasty, just the snack I needed.  First time I was ever given "a meal" for voting!

I'm so glad I'm done with that!  Don't ask.  I'll never tell, even my husband I don't tell each other.

Were there any white redneck boys holding a machine gun and scowling at you? I guess not, or you would have mentioned that...but in Georgia, instead of short, fast-moving lines, smiles, and tacos, you get eight hours in line, veiled threats, and no tacos. Not to mention other Republican states. How much of a traffic backup is there to drop off ballots in the one single such location in Harris County?

Also...how many people are and will be standing in line, cold, wet, and miserable, because the active voter suppression efforts by Republicans have compelled them to vote in person for fear that their votes would be thrown out if they mailed in or dropped off their ballots? Even in California, the Republicans put out fake ballot boxes and emptied them after a few days--and no one has any idea what happened to those ballots.

My voting experience was: I requested a mail-in ballot online. I got it in three days. I filled it out and put it in the drop box at city hall. Obviously, my vote would have been fraudulent if I had mailed it in. Just ask Trump. He knows everything.

It of course should be as easy as possible to vote, but for years, Republicans have been exerting tremendous efforts to make it more difficult. I'm just wondering how many people will die as the result of voting in person, as even if everyone wears a mask, standing in a long line for hours is still an infectious environment. But maybe that's what the Republicans want. I feel sorry for those who will have to destroy an entire day, waiting patiently in line, to exercise their fundamental rights. In my commie pinko liberal SOOOOCIALIST Pelosi-loving anarchist BLM-supporting state, it's damn near effortless to vote.
