Obviously, there are good, decent people in Arkansas, West Virginia, etc. At least six in each state. Just like we have MAGA assholes in Portland, as nice and as sensible as the city is. So of course, I was making a generalization. But consider that Miller blanket-criticizes California, which has more Republipig voters than all but a few states.
To return to what I was talking about, the governor of a state should be attuned to the issues that matter to its voters, and whether that turns out to be the case isn't dependent on the governor's origins. Anyone running for governor, in any state, should be an expert on the issues that matter most to the state's constituency.
