Clarence Thomas loves free gifts form his Repug megadoner

The title of this thread is a lie as Crow is not Thomas' megadonor as Judge Thomas does not run for office.  Crow also has no business in front of the Supreme court

Here is some shady democrat business

Governor Hochul's husband has the food consession at the proposed new Buffalo Bills stadium.

Mayor adams tried to hire his brother as his bodyguard, a job usually done by the NYPD

Cori Bush used campaign funds to pay her husband $60,000 for “security services,” even though he wasn’t licensed to perform the job.

Joe Biden traded a State Dinner invite for a beach resort stay paid for by one of his donors.

Maxine Waters has created an entire business scheme out of raising money for her campaigns and then funneling more than a million dollars of it to her daughter.

Waters serves on the House Financial Services committee but her husband serves on the board of a bank

New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez was prosecuted by the Justice Department for pulling government strings on behalf of a rich friend. A hung jury saved him

Ilhan Omar paid $3m in consulting fees out of her campaign to her boyfriend

Then there is Stacy Abrams

Allegra Lawrence-Hardy, Abrams’ close friend who chaired her gubernatorial campaign both in 2018 and her current bid to unseat Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, is one of two named partners in Lawrence & Bundy, a small firm of fewer than two dozen attorneys.

The firm received $9.4 million from Abrams’ group, Fair Fight Action, in 2019 and 2020, the last years for which federal tax filings are available

Stupid Tommie-poo thinks that someone can't receive a donation if they're not running for office. WTF???

None of his nonsense is true...not even remotely. I notice that he's never "reported" on "shady" Republican business, especially not the billions in grifting done by his orange hero.

Stupid, lying Tommie-poo.

Under federal law, the nine justices are required to report their financial ties, including gifts, but there is an exemption for food, lodging, or entertainment received as “personal hospitality.” Justice Thomas said that the luxury travel provided by Mr. Crow fell under that exemption for personal hospitality. “Early in my tenure at the Court, I sought guidance from my colleagues and others in the judiciary, and was advised that this sort of personal hospitality from close personal friends, who did not have business before the Court, was not reportable,” the justice said. Justice Thomas noted that the disclosure obligations from all federal judges changed last month because of guidance issued by the Judicial Conference, an administrative agency that makes policy for the federal judiciary. Under the new regulations, judges must disclose certain benefits provided by friends, including stays at commercial properties and private jet trips. “These guidelines are now being changed, as the committee of the Judicial Conference responsible for financial disclosure for the entire federal judiciary just this past month announced new guidance,” the justice said. “And, it is, of course, my intent to follow this guidance in the future. ---

Once again kevin shows off his 3rd grade reading skills. The trips were not a conflict of interest at that time.  Now that the rules have changed he will comply.

You said that the thread title is a lie. Your idiot "reason" was that Thomas wasn't running for office at the time and his sugar daddy wasn't appearing before the Supreme Court. So what?

I refuted and schooled you again. The goodies Thomas got were indeed donations--or gifts, if you prefer. The point is (since you're so fucking stupid as to need it spelled out) not that the bribes he got were illegal per se--it's that taking them was grossly unethical.

You excuse any kind of unethical behavior from your gang. That's because you have the morality of a cockroach.

Stupid, unethical Tommie-poo.

Who said anything about it being illegal?   Legally Clarence THomas does not face any jeopardy.   Its just a matter of basic ethics.  Should a judge who renders verdict on political ideology in our country take gifts from someone who lobbies on behalf of one of those sides?     Long Dong SIlver thinks so.   And so does Tom.

And it kinda undermines the dipshits'  whole argument for chasing after Hunter Biden.....even though he's just a civilian and Clarence Thomas is on the SUpreme Court.   But crybaby hypocrites are gonne cry and contradict themselves.

The title of the thread said "his Repug mega donor" implying that Thomas received donations. Thomas did not, Kevin still can't read

Apparently you cant read.   Republicans did take donations .  And the same man who funded their campaigns and super-pacs also rolled out the red carpet for the man who rules on their agenda in the Supreme Court with yachts, private jets and 5 star resorts.

And you seem to be perfectly ok with that while simultaneously pointing at special interest corruption on the other side of the aisle.

And that really says more about you than anything else.

Sorry, stupid Tommie-poo. Thomas did receive lavish donations. Donations don't have to be cash--they can be non-cash gifts. Not that Thomas didn't receive piles of cash, too.

You lose.

Stupid Tommie-poo.

Kevin has no friends, making this issue confusing to him.  Who in his right mind would invite Kevin on such trips?  I've been offered twice to be a guest for golf trips with private jet transport.  In fact, I'm in one of the guys homes as I type.....he's napping.  Nothing was expected of me in return for these trips, other than friendship.

Boilerman says giving a bottle of water to someone standing in line to vote is a bribe to influence their vote.    But private jets, yachts, and resorts from a political activist to a politician are no strings...

Boilerman does not subscribe to his own bullshit
