I'll diregard your callous commentary favoring money over lives.   Lets just focus on numbers.

Under your scenario:

With the new (lower) mortality rate published today of 1.4% that would mean 5 million AMericans dead  and about 25 million AMerians requiring hospitalization ...in very short order.     NY Is already overwhelmed with just a few hundred.

Today CHina announced no new domestic cases.   Their economy took a hit but all signs point to life beginning to get back to normal.   Whats it  say when communist China has their shit together more than the US when confronting stuff like this?

And PJ has the nerve to state that the Chinese have their "shit together".

How are their numbers so low then? We allowed the virus to spread like wildfire all the while Trump was calling it a hoax and saying things like the warm weather was going to get rid of it. 

As you mentioned it likely started there and they didn't have months of lead time as we did. Yet, they still managed to rapidly confine it and rapidly mobilized resources to provide medical care. Today, Trump told the states they were on their own and don't bug him when it comes to finding respirators and protective gear. 

Wrong.

When Stalker's arguments are utterly refuted, all he can do is say "wrong." Then he will call you stupid and a liar. As surely as the night doth follow the day.

Note that Stalker didn't even try to say WHY you were wrong. Because he can't.

You have to realize, parroting Trump's stupid, racist attacks on China is how Trumpers show their fealty to him. And why does Trump even bother at this point? The more people he can get to blame China, the fewer will blame him. It worked with Stalker!

Actually, an authoritarian society such as China does better than societies like ours in situations like this. China wouldn't have known infected people having to be under house arrest and guarded by the police, like that moron in Dumbtucky, or crowds of happy, obvious college children frolicking at the beach.

Two things I miss the ability to do on here:  be able to upvote for great comments (yours among others),

and the ability to put someone on block/ignore (Kevin/Mark).

It is nice to know that there are others who know the truth.
