The motivation for the bill was not policy based. It was strictly to cancel Disney for crossing the governor. All Disney did was offer an opinion that was different from that of DeSatan ....so he's punishing them.
Thats the party of business-friendly politicians as they like to refer to themselves. The governor even went so far as to call them a "woke company from California" as part of his reasoning for the legislation.
I almost dont feel bad for them because DIsney has been dumping campagn cash into Republican coffers for decades in FLorida.
Wouldnt it be hilarious of Florida's biggest money maker packed up and relocated to a different state that did not punish them for not being bigoted against the gay community? Probably wont happen - but its probably fair to say Disney wont be backing any Republican candidates any time soon.
