Current Numbers

Only thing "false" here is your lying reply.

Here are some numbers for you David.

At least 56 intensive care units in Florida hospitals reached capacity on Tuesday, state officials said. Another 35 hospitals show ICU bed availability of 10% or less, according to the Agency for Health Care Administration in that state.

What are the CURRENT numbers for the DemocRatic controlled states, which you have adroitly neglected to post? Typical piecemeal posting by Mark.

Right now it is the Red states running out of ICU beds. Primarily, Arizona, Texas, and Flordia.

You want to somehow "prove" that the coronavirus prefers to infect people who reside in states that tend to vote Democrat, which is a breathtakingly stupid idea. Really, does the virus float around and read the papers or something before it decides whom to infect?

The numbers show that all populations are equally susceptible. The virus doesn't play politics.

So your chart above shows that states that did not shut-down much and did not require masks do better at preventing deaths. Do I have that right?

Re read the chart - or better yet, have someone sane explain it to you.

I did! And I've forgotten more about statistics than you'll ever know. And according to YOUR chart, there is a +1 correlation between lower deaths and not shutting down. (+1 is as high as it gets.)

Care to defend that "proof," or could it be that correlation does not imply causation.

You obviously need to go back to class. To make it easier for you 1)DemocRaric controlled states -population 51+ million = 43,679 DEATHS ; 2)Republican controlled states -population, 72+ million people = 6897 deaths. -----Are you that obtuse?

Yes, there is a correlation. But of course, for any non-ignorant person, correlation does not imply causation.

Here's another one, using YOUR chart:

1)States with eight or more characters in their name -population 51+ million = 43,679 DEATHS ; 2)States with less than eight characters in their name -population, 72+ million people = 6897 deaths.

As you can see, correlation without any proof of causation is garbage food for the ignorant.
