When the Orange Thing was "elected," we all thought that he would do a lot of damage, but it would ultimately be repairable. That was before the pandemic hit.
We have as of this writing suffered 307,000 deaths from Covid. Many of those deaths could have been avoided with better leadership--a President who isn't a mentally ill crook--a better healthcare system, and no major political party that denies science and is perfectly willing to abandon ethics and decency to cling to power.
In other words, what if we were like Canada?
Answer: 180,000 US citizens would still be alive. Canada, a society very much like ours in all respects except the ones noted above, has suffered a Covid death rate of roughly 40% of that of the US. They've been exposed just as much as we have, but they have good and responsible leadership, universal health care, and very few right-wing nutjobs telling us to take off our masks and march in the streets to look for Black people to kill. Sanity, in other words.
If you voted for Trump, you are complicit in those 180,000 deaths. Think about it.
