A federal court said the same thing about Texas and several other red states....and then the Supreme Court overruled it.    According to our current Supreme Cout gerrymandering is not illegal.      I think thats pretty stupid but that is their "interpretation" of the Constitution.

Lets see if their "interpretation" is consistent or if its like the same kind of judegment Tom has for presidents who play golf.

The Virginia Judge that ruled it unconstitutional was a lone county judge from Tazewell county, VA. Oddly enough I used to travel there two or three times a year for five years or so back around 2006 - 2011. I primarily was in the Bluefield, VA area (Tazewell county) and the Princeton, WV area as this is a border area between the two states.  

Demographically the county is more like poor Appalachian West Virginia than it is the rest of Virginia. Point being this is a minority viewpoint judge in a miniorty viewpoint area of that state. It will likely be overturned on appeal in the state of Virginia. 

Unlike the douche bags in Texas, Missouri, and other red states Virginia and  California actually had their voters decide whether or not they wanted to redistrict as opposed to the corrupt politicians in those red states.

David is upset that Virginia gerrymandered, but supported the red states that started this whole thing with Trump's encouragement.

This fraudlent "election" shows just how corrupt the DemocRATS are with this attempt to redraw districting. Virginia must think they are California....

What did Republicans do in Texas, Ohio, Missouri, and planning to do in Florida.  You are a raging hypocrite and too dense to even recognize it.  

And what will be the ratio of Republican to Democrat voters in Texas compared to the number of House seats for the two parties?

A significant difference between the redistricting efforts in California and Virginia and the one in Texipig is that the former were performed after the voters passed an initiative to that effect. By contrast, the Texipig legislature simply issued a decree, without bothering to ask the voters, because democracy is a bitch.
