It is not a Biden plan or a Trump plan. The only ones I'm blaming are the Joint Chiefs. If they developed and approved the plan as it is unfolding they should be fired. If they rolled over to anyone in the administration they should resign. IMHO the evacuation should have been using Bagram but we snuck out of there weeks ago. It is difficult for the Afghan military to stand up to the Taliban without ammunition other than for small arms and no air support.
We should be bombing the planes this very minute. We know, or we did know, where equipment and armaments were stored. Those should have been or should be bombed.
If we can't get our stuff out, it should be destroyed.
Somebody better check on Kevin to make sure he is OK with all this free time. Maybe now, unlike most teachers, he can put a little preparation time into his upcoming classes.

Boilerman, I'm pretty sure you really supported W's idiot invasion and occupation of Afghanistan, so maybe you should sit this one out.
And since Trump released over 5,000 Taliban, some of whom are now back in the fight, and promised not to attack them for over a year, allowing them to build their fighting power, maybe that's another one you should sit out.
And maybe military strategy isn't exactly your forte either. Bombing places as your trying to evacuate people (now at over 100,000 souls) is not something that is actually done.
Well the unimaginable just happened, what I've been afraid of from the start of this fiasco, let's hope this will end soon without anymore loss of life.
I did support our attack in Iran and our movement into Afghanistan. I believe that it was a mistake for only one critical reason. We didn't crush them into submission. We played another Viet Nam situation which we could have won in a minute, but politics got in the way.
Had we crushed the radicals immediately, Iran and Afghanistan would be far better off today.

Yeah, the Soviet Union tried that in Afghanistan. How'd that work out for them?
If Kevin did get banned he has no one to blame but himself. But for better or worse, the sink won't be the same without him.
