Do you think you'll come back to Vegas?

Casinos are only slightly better than an emergency room in a third world country as far as contagion goes. Plus, they're particularly bad for respiratory illnesses and conditions, as pretty much everybody smokes and the filtration systems never handle it adequately.

So I very much doubt I'll be setting foot in a casino, ever again. If I develop Covid-19 and recover, that wouldn't necessarily mean I have immunity. It just doesn't seem worth it.

If the whole damn town wasn't such a ripoff these days, I might consider it. MAYBE some huge bargains MIGHT entice me back.

What do you think?

I think you not returning would benefit both you and Vegas.

Kevin, I smoke heavily while in Vegas casinos which his bad for people with respiratory issues.  It might be prudent for you to stay away.  Plus that beer virus..............oh my.  It was a good run, though.

Probably not in the near future, in a year or so possibly.

I'll be back, but not rushing through the doors on opening day.  We have flights booked in mid July for BFF's birthday.   If casinos are still closed by then it won't break my heart.   Plus hubby is awaiting some surgery on his back, which is delayed for however long it takes until hospitals are back to normal, so I'm not counting on anything and certainly will even delay the July trip if it coincides with when they can get him in for the procedure.   If anything, this hiatus has felt good, I can do without casino trips.

What was that song:  "I got along without ya before I met ya, gonna get along without ya now."  Who sang that?  I think it was a guy group in the 60s?

At least for a while, get things done, build up the bankroll (since the virus, i.e. stock market, is sh***ing all over my investment accounts anyway).

What you think means less than nothing.

I will absolutely be back.  I dont even enjoy visiting casinos outside of Vegas.    I do think its fair to assume traffic will be down for the rest of the year.   Questions to ponder:

1)   If attendance is down will the hotels finally lower/remove resort fees as a way to entice people back?

2)  Will the Circa still open in late December

3)  How many local restaurants and bars will not reopen in sin city as a result of this?

4)  What kind of room offers/food comps/other mailing goodies will be on the way when this is over?

Should be interesting.   I just sent my Vegas bankroll to my Schwab account so I can pounce when I think the bottom is in.   SO now I'm scrounging up cash the rest of the year to replenish my fun money.

Why am I not surprised that you smoke heavily indoors around other people? That's the act of a fool AND an asshole.

" means less than nothing." --- This could be the title for the sum of all of your comments here at this forum.

Well, Candy, you're $X richer for not having been to Vegas X times, so you've gained. Don't know how much you spend/lose per trip.

I usually break even or make a small profit, because I only play +EV games. Since comps for people who play those games are essentially nonexistent, rooms, meals, and travel costs eat up my modest profits.

So I'm not really missing anything.
