Does he speak the truth? Should free speech apply to everyone equally?

What do you think? -- https://www.facebook.com/reel/772218118240131

Here is how it works David. If I sit down with you and we concoct a plan for you to rob a bank and you rob the bank, I can be arrested just like you even though I didn't participate in the actual robbery.  It is taking action on a criminal scheme that is illegal. Free speech is not a defense to my part in the crime eventhough speech was my only contribution to the plan.

Trump took action on his his illegal schemes to stay in power and that is why he was arrested. McCarthy is counting on you and your MAGA friends to not have the intellectual horsepower to understand the difference.  Don't worry because you can bet your bottom dollar the judge and jury will.

Biden's Bannana Republic. Use novel legal theories to criminalize the exact things your party has done in the past.  Then try to jail and bankrupt your leading competitor.

ALAN DERSHOWITZ: Al Gore, his legal team and I tried to find uncounted presidential votes, lobbied officials and fought in the courts in 2000. The only difference now? The candidate's name is Donald Trump... That's why this prosecution is an outrage | Daily Mail Online

Yes, Al Gore used legal means to contest the election. And when the conservative Supreme Court made a ruling that was so contrary to law, they knew it was so bad they said in the opinion the case couldn't be used as precedent, he rode off into the sunset. He accepted that verdict.

Trump and his cronies concocted plans which included illegal schemes for him to stay in power the day before the election because they thought he was going to lose. Then after losing the election and 60 court cases they employed various illegal schemes for Trump to stay in power which included breaking into voting machines, trying to pass off false electors as legitimate ones, trying to coerce Republican elected officials in various states to commit fraud, they rallied Trump's followers to occupy the Capital and for the coup de grace they were going to invoke the insurrection act so nobody could protest Trump's illegal occupation of the Presidency.

It's all in the indictments. I encourage you to read them so you know the facts.

Shouldn't someone that tries a to overthrow the United States government be in jail?

Now show us a list of American presidents that called for the ''termination of the Constitution'', Chuckie.

This issue will be settled in court - backseat lawyering notwithstanding.

Wait a minute.   I thought we were talking about the RICO case in Georgia.  The first time in history RICO has been used to arrest a political leader and his legal advisors.  Focus your spin.  I think I'll trust Dershowitz who was actually there with the Gore legal team....who is a distinguished constitutional scholar.  I'll trust him when he says 'THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE CANDIDATE'S NAME IS DONALD TRUMP'.    If you want to talk about the other politically motivated phony indictments, well maybe you can start by stating exactly what you think he is accused of and what evidence you have to support that.

Regardless. The Twitter quote I did above about dictators who jailed their opponents was actually from Jake Horowitz...a liberal guy.  He was VERY upset at the time.  That was back in 2016.  After the Trump/Clinton debate.  What was he upset about?  Trump said during the debate that he would have a special prosecutor appointed to investigate Hillary's mishandling of classified documents on her e-mail server.  Remember that?

Every Democrat mouthpiece (Yourself included, I'm sure) went completely off the rails!  Trump is Hitler!  Trump is Putin.  It will be the end of Democracy you all cried.  Using the justice system to persecute your political opponent is un-American you claimed.  Well it turned out that once elected and in the interest of national unity and to preserve our image to the world, President Trump decided to just let that criminal investigation drop.

Of course you all had your panties in a knot when Trump suggested Hillary should be investigated.  You said it was all political.  You said it would make us into a banana republic.  You said it was the end of justice.  The end of Democracy.  And now when Democrat prosecutors try to jail their leading Presidential competition, you are strangely cheering them on.  You claim to love Democracy, but are elated when some states are exploring prohibiting Trump from the ballot using a constitutional provision narrowly intended for Civil War participants.  You don't want the people to decide.  You'd rather government pick its own leaders now.  You've become the War Mongering, Authoritarian party of censorship.  Now you say "Show me the man and I'll show you the crime".  You used to say “Question Authority”.  My how times have changed.
