This article does a good job of explaining California's "domestic migration". They have been losing American citizens at an ever increasing rate for well over a decade (270,000 in net domestic migration loss in 2021 alone). Kevin will talk about how California's population is shrinking by much lower rate, which is true. As many of California's brightest and most successful are moving away, they are being replaced by unskilled illegal immigrants who suck up government subsidies like the stuff is free. Those moving away will longer have to pay the every increasing taxes.

Sorry - spend 5 minutes researching the demographics of the last 3 presidential elections. People with college educations vote Democrat regardless of where they live.
Republicans like to say Demoracts are elitist, coastal rich loonies who are out of touch woth working America. They are both actually. I don't quite understand the whole elitist thing either. But I definitely understand the second group of people.
Republicans shouldn't be celebrating people leaving Calidornia. Their was an exodus 20 years ago to Colorado from California. COlorado is now a solid blue state. The same thing is happening in Arizona now. Texas is next.
Republicans better figure out how to appeal to people beyond their white, Christian, uneducated base. Becase the White, Christian, uneducated states are becoming less so.
