From Today's LV Review Journal - LETTER: Political violence from one side is the problem

The murder of  Ashley Babbitt - that was the real crime of Jan 6th.

Her death was the result of law enforcement defending the Capitol and themselves while she was participating in a riot to take over the Capitol and kill the officers defending it.

You can call it a murder all you like. It wasn't that at all.

The House resolution condemned “in the strongest possible terms” the assassination of the Turning Point USA co-founder and commended law enforcement for arresting and charging Kirk’s alleged killer.

But only 95 democrats could say yes to this simple resolution

The resolution passed 310-58, with 215 Republicans and 95 Democrats in support.

That's because the death of Charlie Kirk was a blessing for this country. He was an evil man who spewed hatred and division. He called for the "extermination" and "eradication" of transgenders, gays, Jews, Hispanics, and blacks. Anyone who talks like that deserves what they get if someone is alarmed enough to respond by killing him.

That "simple" resolution amounted to an endorsement of Kirk's hateful rhetoric and actions. That's why most Democrats refused to approve it. I know, Tom, that you also hate all the people who were Kirk's targets. That's why you orgasmed over and over watching his videos.

But he was a horrible, dangerous person.

First President Trump did not incite the riot

Second - where are the usual suspects outrage over the billions in damages, hundreds of police injured in the 2021 riots where nobody went to jail?

Well, using your logic--and I get the deep irony of that statement--Jan 6 was six years ago and so doesn't matter, and 2021 was five years ago so doesn't matter either.

Unless, of course, you are a raging hypocrite.

Never said any of that.

I'm sure you never said that. I was talking about Charlie Kirk.

I saw several videos where he said those exact things. Many of those videos were viewed by tens of thousands of people. He also had thousands of attendees at his hate rallies, where he spewed his genocidal "recommendations." You can believe it or not, I don't give a shit.

But really, stupid Tom...how do you know he never said any of that, as you put it? Were you following him around and recording every word he said?

Stupod, lying Tom.

There were no convictions in the 2021 riots where police were injured and billions in damages.

When you say the 2021 riots, I'm assuming you're talking about the George Floyd protests in 2020. If that's the case, you're flat out wrong.

Records rebut claims of unequal treatment of Jan. 6 rioters | AP News

"It’s a common refrain from some of those charged in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol and their Republican allies: The Justice Department is treating them harshly because of their political views while those arrested during last year’s protests over racial injustice were given leniency."

The opening paragraph highlights the parroting tendency of MAGA and how quickly they all pick up the same lies and parrot them as "the truth".

"The AP found that more than 120 defendants across the United States have pleaded guilty or were convicted at trial of federal crimes including rioting, arson and conspiracy. More than 70 defendants sentenced so far have gotten an average of about 27 months behind bars. At least 10 received prison terms of five years or more."

So many false MAGA claims are so easy to refute, yet they confidently all parrot the same bullshit and whine about "fake news" like a bunch of 5-year-olds.

On this forum tom, Boilerman, and CharlesIII all said the IRA bill caused inflation when, in fact, inflation dropped almost every month after the act was passed. They weren't the only ones; many more random posters said the same thing.

Trump was the primary catalyst for the attack on the Capitol, with his cronies helping him to put his plan into action.

Citation please.

I saw several videos where he said those exact thing

Please post those videos

"The AP found that more than 120 defendants across the United States have pleaded guilty or were convicted at trial of federal crimes including rioting, arson and conspiracy.

Now for the facts.  With billions in damages and hundreds of police injured, only 120 convictions is laughable.

By June 22, 2020, police had made 14,000 arrests in 49 cities since the protests began, with most arrests being locals charged with low-level offenses such as violating curfews or blocking roadways. By June 8, 2020, at least 19 people had died during the protests. Several protests over Floyd's murder, including one in Chicago, turned into riots.
