Gas Prices Soaring Nationwide

Oh !   So the president doesnt have a role in the CURRENT oil production and prices, right?   I guess we can go back and call bullshit on all threads where you said that very thing and  blamed Joe Biden for the high gas prices in early 2022.

FACT:

Oil companies are experiencing record profits and record production on Joe Biden's watch.  Full stop.

This is a very sour shit sandwich that people like Boilerman have trouble swallowing because they really dont want to believe its true.   Thats why when you show them data they respond with bullshit about rig counts and something Joe Biden said they cant link to.

Boilerman - even though you are 100% correct with everything you say , the lying, idiot liberals who continue to remain obtuse will never agree with what you are saying. As I have learned after 5+ years, trying to have an intelligent, truthful discoure with them is impossible - they and those who "think" like them are the reason America is being ruined by the DemocRats these morons voted into office.

Nope! It's about bringing thousands of existing wells back into production.

Boiler's the only one who thinks the oil companies don't restrict production to keep prices high.

Kevin, what is needed to restart production in a shuttered well?  What are the monetary risks?

This should be fun.

Oil reseviours eventually run dry.  Older wells can be stimulated via various procedures, but they are all heading towards death.  Oil producers are spending plenty of money on stimulation of older wells, but they will all eventually die.  Little money is being spend on exploration and developement of new wells.  That's a fact.  That's what the low rig count tells the informed person.

At current rig counts, we're going to be in a world of hurt in ten years when we aren't ready to ramp up electric power production.  Where will this power come from?  Not natural gas.  Not nuclear power, unless nutty Liberals change their stance on this technology.  If you think the solution is wind and solar, then you haven't done your homework.

Me to Boil    ''The US also imports oil because we use more than we produce.'' .

Boil's response  ''Currently, we do not produce more than we consume. So, explain why we import and export.''

Idiot Boil.

The data says we are drilling record amounts of oil.   Boilerman says we arent drilling.   And lets just leave it at that.

But here is the best part - Boilerman even fails on his own new bullshit statistic.

Interactive Rig count chart timeline

Rig count when Trump left office :     264

Rig count as of Februrary 2023   :     600

So once again - the data proves Boilerman wrong.   So whats the new bullshit metric going to be ?   How about number of oil employees named "Steve"?    Does anyone know if thats up or down since Biden took office?

1.  I mistyped  when if I said we import because we don't produce enough oil.  I should have typed that we import because we don't produce enough sour crude, which is what a bunch of our refineries need.  We export sweet crude because we can only refine a portion of this grade.

2.  PJ is telling us that oil production and drilling for oil is one and the same.  Here is what happens.  A rig is brought to a site and drilling is done.  After that well is "finished", which can take up to several years, the well begins to produce oil.  Rigs lead to production.  Rigs do not produce oil.

3.  When I'll return to my computer I'll provide data showing a correlation between oil prices and employed rig count.  With current oil prices over the past 2 years, rig counts should be about 2000, not 780.

Should I bother to tell Boiler that correlation is NOT causation? Or would that be like trying to teach calculus to a dog?

Boiler thinks that we don't refine our chocolate-flavored crude because we can't. The reality is that we CAN, but we DON'T, because the oil companies make more money just by exporting it. If the oil companies were truly on board with this "energy independence" nonsense, they'd increase their "sweet" crude refining capacity. But they don't care about anything but short-term massive profits. Boiler's heroes.

Boilerman is upset that his bullshit "rig count" metric is more than double under Biden than his Republican predecessor.

Because 600 is a smaller number than 254.

Too bad we cant run power plants off bullshit.
