Gas Prices Soaring Nationwide

Because 600 is a smaller number than 254.

Too bad we cant run power plants off bullshit.

Boiler doesn't want to acknowledge that THOUSANDS of perfectly productive wells are sitting idle, because the oil companies have wanted production to be limited. Now that gas prices are nice and high and they're making all-time record profits, they've opened up the production that was available all along. They've played the market and the American public like fiddles.

They've also played Boiler, who thinks that Biden somehow controls the price of gasoline. Or maybe it's them "Libs."

This nonsense, by the way, is yet another very good reason to wean America off of fossil fuels. It's not a healthy societal situation when a small gang of oligarchs decides whether Americans have money in their pockets or not at the end of the month. Record corporate profits when so many Americans are struggling. And their skillful propagandists deflect the blame to anyone but them. Fuck 'em.

And you think electrical companies will not follow suit with the electric vehicles? Oh fucking dumb Kevin! sorry I just had to add what you always seem stuck on. Name calling

No, because consumers will have alternative sources. There will be plenty of public charging stations. Consumers will be able to generate their own solar energy. There will be LOTS of choices. We won't be dealing with oligarchs and monopolies. And yes, the affordability of EV charging will be boosted by actions taken by the Biden administration. Goddamn socialist liberals!!!!!

And since you're not so much a dumb fuck as someone whose brain is polluted by conservitard politics and ideology, I'll explain to you that gas is so high-priced precisely because there are no alternatives to buying gas if you have a gas-powered vehicle. So it costs $120 to fill your tank? Too bad, the oil companies say. You have to drive yourself to work or the kids to school? Suck it up, buttercup, the oil companies say. Skip buying food for a week.

I would think that as an orthodox free-market true-blue gun-toting conservative, you'd welcome the loosening of the grip that oil companies have on Americans' balls--yours included.

Also, as an orthodox free-market true-blue gun-toting conservative, you'd realize that private power generation and retailing will explode as soon as there are enough EVs on the road. The current price of electricity equivalent in motive energy to one gallon of gas is about $1.25. I expect good old American entrepreneurship to jump on that. So should you.

For god's sake, PJ thinks that rig count is a measure of oil production.  That's like saying that birth rates tells us today's population.  Rig counts dramaticly change with oil prices.  Current oil prices dictate 2000 rigs.  I will freely admit that moves to electric cars is dropping rig counts, but Sleepy's rhetoric and policies have crushed drilling.

Sleep through the truth if you like, boys and mostly girls, but you girls are clueless.

"Crushed drilling"--yeah, a huge increase in production: record levels.

And Boiler, don't be a sexist in addition to a racist. Calling someone a "girl" as some kind of insult is crude and stupid.

I know a LOT of girls--and women--who could run rings around you, intellectually, morally, and logically.

I said no such thing - you're the one who brought it up - its your metric.

You say drilling is being crushed under Biden.   The data says we're drilling record amounts.

You say rig count is lacking under Biden.   The data says rig count is more than double compared to Trump.

Explain to us why all of the facts run contrary to the bullshit story you're telling.

Read PJ's confususion about oil production and oil drilling above.  He tells us that we're at record drilling, while in fact we are at 1/3 of our 20 year historical record drilling.  We are at 1/8 of drilling records when less efficient drilling rigs were used.  Record rig counts over the past 20 years is well over 2000 and we're currently less than 800 rigs.  PJ then talks about how rig counts dropped to 264 under Trump, when oil prices plummetted.  We'll, history tells us that oil drilling drops when oil prices hit $15 per barrel. Shocking.

Once again, read PJ's comments, as it's obvious that he is confusing drilling (or in this case almost no drilling) with oil production, as most Liberals do.  Oil production platforms are not oil rigs.  One is a producing operation, while a rig is a drilling machine.  This confuses Libererals.

PJ, oil companies can stimulate current oil wells, but every oil well will all die within the next 1-30 years.  Every one of them.  At our current drilling rates we will lose 40% of our oil production over the next 10 years.  We have zero replacement for this lost energy.

Liberals, this is a real world situation.  No unicorns can save the day.

Thats right !  You can read my posts where I provided data from factual sources.  Or you can read Boilerman's posts where he runs away from the BPD production metric I provided....and then had to run away from his own metric about rig counts.    Thats what Boilerman does.  I provide data - he runs away and makes up some new bullshit.

And now Boilerman says our record production is bad because its coming from fewer drilling sites? He's upset about increased productivity?   I dont need data to show how batshit crazy that is.   Trust me when I tell you he stands alone on that argument.

Gasoline is down over a $1.50 from its peak.  And thats the top and bottom line.      And Boilerman's fairy tales about Biden not letting oil companies drill and all the data that proves him wrong is really secondary to that fact.

You should probably let him stew in his idiot fantasies at this point. He's come up with at least seven "reasons" why the price of gas is high--none of which are, that the oil companies want it that way. It's all BIDENZ FAWLT or not enough whipped cream in the oil or LIBS LIBS LIBS LIBS LIBS or not enough pipelines from the Moon or not enough wells or rigs or drilling or thrilling or chilling. NEVER that the oil companies want, and are getting, record profits. They just ain't got no choice!

Boiler's a special kind of stupid.

Libs believe that starting a decommissioned oil well is just turning a valve.  Do some research...I know you won't. PJ believes that drilling rigs and production platforms are the same thing....do some research.  A typical well loses about 50% of it's production in 10 years, and we aren't drilling....do some research.  Unless things change, we will not be able to catch up....so some research.  We'll be a huge net production loser....do some research.
