Gasoline prices

I went to the gas station today, the price of gas is $2.85 per gallon. Now to some this sounds cheap. Here where I live gasoline has always been cheaper then in most cities, especially cities not in Texas. The remarkable thing about today's gas price is that less than a year ago the price per gallon here was $1.65 - for the same gallon of gas. I now have to pay $1.20 more per gallon. Why? What has changed? Prior to the election, for the previous 2 years, gasoline prices here were pretty much unchanged and stayed around $1.65 to $1.80 per gallon. America was oil independant. Now America has to purchase oil from other countries, all at a much higher price per barrel. This is factual and easy to prove. Since President Trump has not been in office, you can not blame him for this, even though some will. I guess America can thank the Democrats and especially Biden, Mr. Build Back Better. I have one question for the people, dead or alive, that voted for Biden - how do you like your decision now? Notice that I have, up to now, not mentioned the border crisis, the Afghan fiasco, the covid crisis (remember the "follow the science" mantra) , or the current inflation rate. I hope you imbeciles are happy, for you have put in place the Socialist Democrat party and the brain dead traitor Biden in the White House. All of these events have transpired in just 9 months. The next 3+ years should frighten every American.

Yep, everything that you don't like is Biden's fault, including wildfires, earthquakes, hurricanes, Covid, inflation, deflation, masturbation, uncontrollable gorilla farts, the billions of raving Mexicans driving taco trucks across the Rio Grande, the toast you burned this morning, and the proliferation of deadly Jewish space lasers.

Everything you disapproved of only started the second Biden assumed office, and didn't exist during one moment of the Trump administration. Yep, no Covid under Trump. No bad weather. No inflation. No gorilla farts. Gas was free. We had no troops in Afghanistan. And yes siree Bob, we were bigly oil "independant." Just like the Jan. 6. insurrection was a magical "momant."

I assume that you blame your present constipation on Biden, and that everything moved right along for you when your Dear Leader was in charge. In fact, we were treated to displays of your diarrhea every single day. Thank you so much for sharing!

P.S. Despite your request, I doubt that you'll get many answers from dead people who voted for Biden. As for myself, I like my decision to vote for Biden just fine, and about 75% of my happiness with that decision is because it pisses you off.

Have a nice Biden-dominated day! SOOOOOOCIALISM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy your traitor and the damage he does to America. You two deserve each other.

Gee?  Whats changed?   Lets ask Captain Obvious !     People are flying, driving, cruising  and going on vacation now that the economy is opened and booming.   Nevermind the record amount of transportation you see with the supply chain.

But David MIller is right.   Gas prices plummet when the economy is in the shitter.  And oil companies dont make money with $20/barrel oil.   I'm not rooting for an economic recession - people who want cheap gas are.

If Trump was in office and the exact same things he describes (many of which are idiot lies, but let's go with it) were happening, he'd be screaming praises for his bigly orange master. Gas prices going up? That means the economy is booming! Hail Dear Leader!

I guess David longs for last year, with its massive unemployment, cratering economy, rampant sickness and death, and yeah...low gas prices. Of course, none of that was Trump's fault. It was Biden's fault, even though he hadn't been elected yet.

What kind of idiot does a person have to be to LUVVV Trump so much that he prefers the total shitstorm of 2020 to the recovery of 2021, just because Trump was President in 2020 and he isn't now? I'll answer that for you: a David Miller idiot.

Due to bidens restrictive oil/gas policies US production is down & the country is no longer energy independent & is dependent on foreign sources.  With lower production, prices have gone up.  When I started working in Phoenix in September gas was $3.25.  It is now $3.49

Pj is one a few that actually believes psaki's press releases. The economy is far from booming. By every economic measure the economy is still 5 to 10% below 2019.

When you say that something is "due to" something else, you have to prove an actual cause-effect relationship; otherwise, you're just babbling. Tommie-poo is utterly unable to understand that just because B followed A, that doesn't mean that A caused B. Correlation is not causation.

As far as the US being "energy independent," that phrase is meaningless conservitard babble without any definition. Can we meet our own energy needs without buying energy from foreign sources? Yes. Do we want to do that? No---because it's cheaper to buy oil and natural gas from Canada and other foreign sources than it is to produce it domestically.

I would also observe that we would be much more "independent" if we developed solar and wind power to a much greater extent than we already have. But of course, the fossil fuel companies pay their Republican servants to keep that from happening.

It's like saying we're not "food independent" because we buy produce from Mexico and wheat from Canada. News flash: "xxx independence" is often used as an excuse for protectionist trade policies--like the Trump tariffs--that wind up destroying commerce and hurting everybody, with no attendant benefit.

I do realize that isolationism is a core tenet of conservatism--a political and social ideology that is based, above all, on fear. That fear is used to justify not engaging in trade with them commies/socialists/Muslim terrorists/nonwhite people/no-good feeelthy Mexicans/etc. etc. etc. It also puts beaucoup bucks in the pockets of the big corporations that buy conservative politicians.

And a bonus is that they get people like Stalker and Tommie-poo to swallow it and beg for more.

How is that wind power working for countries like England & Northern Europe now that the wind has stopped blowing & powering their windmills.?

Ah. The wind has stopped blowing in Europe. I see.

I didn't know that Fox News had a weather channel!

By the way, what's the capital of "Northern Europe"?
