HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY TO ALL!

" 'Merry Yom Kippur!' I have no idea what you mean."  -- Candy Wright

It was a sarcastic remark. Jews do not wish each other a merry Yom Kippur, because for Jews, Yom Kippur is the most solemn day of the year, as Good Friday is for Christians.

"I have not seen what the POTUS actually said regarding Good Friday" -- Candy Wright

Trump didn't "say" it. As the original poster wrote, Trump Tweeted in all caps, "HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY TO ALL!"

"Yep. That's what the President of the United States tweeted out earlier today."  -- MisterPicture

Thank you, Bud Ackley, for the clarification of your reply.

Hey, I rest my case, which is that Mr. Trump should consult his writers (or theologians on staff) before delivering faith-based references in speeches and social media.  He doesn't wear it well.

What is funny is that you and others here will interpret almost any reply or reference to Trump that I make (and I try to make very few) as supportive of him and/or his policies.  Truth is, I strive to compose my words as neither for or against the POTUS, but rather clarify something (usually not political as I'm SO unpolitical) or turn something into humorous, as well as to avoid becoming a target.  Why I keep trying, I have no idea.   Also I tend to pull for the clumsy, the unlearned, the underdog (so to speak) because I am usually the clumsiest of all.

Our Pastor calls it, Authenic Friday.  She questions the word Good, the day of Crucifixion.

He is risen!
