I grew up in the Northern part of the state and spent my time hunting, fishing, hiking, Jeeping and camping Tehema, Shasta, Lassen, Modoc and Nevada Counties in those forests   I've seen my share of wildfires, and droughts!  theye are scary as hell!  But they have been happening since the beginning of time.

3. I probably should have been more explicit. Do you believe in the reality of anthropogenic (human-caused) climate change? Your kind denies it.

5. Also a fervent belief of that party. Your kind has aligned themselves with the RepubliQ.

It's simple fact that there are now far more, and far more severe, wildfires than at any time in recorded history. The current situation has NOT, in fact, "been happening since the beginning of time"--it's far worse than it ever has been. (Ten years like the last two and there wouldn't have been any surviving forests when the pioneers came here.)

However, your kind insists on saying otherwise and that the recent climate change phenomena have been just natural variation. Well, if it's just natural variation, then a given year could be either hotter or colder than the previous one, right? But the global temperature has increased every one of the last fifty-one years. If that was "natural variation," that would be like flipping a coin fifty-one times and having it come up heads every time.

You shouldn't wrap yourself in politics on this issue. Climate change/global warming will end up killing millions of our children and grandchildren. It's a crisis that would be insane to dismiss or ignore.

And feel free to call anything I say that you disagree with a "rant." That's not even remotely original.
