DonDiego opines a photograph of deceased people in a hospital room in one of the most Democrat-dominated cities in the Country might reflect more on the influence of local City/County leadership.
It is the Federal Government's job to handle disasters of this scale. Did the Feds tell Lousiana they were on their own after Hurricane Katrina? Did they tell New York they were on their own after 911? No, of course not.
Furthermore, both chambers of the legislative branch in Michigan are controlled by Republicans who have stood in the Governor's way and obstructed everything she has tried to do. Currently, they are trying to strip her of the ability to call a state of emergency in Michigan. You see they don't care about them darkies in Detroit dying. It is the freedom for the MAGAs to get haircuts on demand that is important. Everyone knows white folks don't get COVID-19.
And we just learned today that the I need a haircut crowd took COVID-19 back to the rural areas they live in and are spreading it around like modern-day Typhoid Marys. What's next for Trump? cheering on drunk drivers?

DonDiego believes the current Republican narrative that the political affiliation of a city influences its vulnerability to the coronavirus. Unless it's a Republican city, of course.
In reality (a world with which Republican ideology only occasionally intersects), that vulnerability depends on population density, the amount of arriving overseas travel, and how close together people are when they live and work.

And now the real story. According to the Michigan.gov site daily infections have dropped from a high of 1,000 to 31 yesterday.
But the governor will continue her inconsistent policies such as allowing canoes, but banning motorboats.
Actually, the real story is due to trumps incompetence, Americans die.
