Of course, I'd like to think that his simply being dumber than a box of rocks would make him unelectable, but RepubliQ voters did in fact prop him up there.
It always looks worse on Day One of a big scandal. Walker can muddy the waters with denials or impeach the woman's credibility with matters from her own past. For the Trunp base, all Trump has to do to keep his base happy is say, "Fake news" and it's over.
Besides that, for voters who don't find Walker's mind-boggling stupidity and ignorance to be deal breakers, why would a little hypocrisy cause them any agita?
