Poor old DonDiego says: "Take care! And, at least. stay out of Wuhan, China.
As he types, poor old DonDiego feels a mite chilly and may be gettin' stuffed nasal passages.
Rumors will rule the day. When Ebola first made the news, somebody in my church 'heard' of somebody in some nursing home in some corner of our state. That somebody circled the room telling everyone "There is an 'ebola patient' in xxx nursing home in xxx." Of course it was not true, but people freaked.
A "case" is not necessarily "death."
1. Wash hands often, sing "Happy Birthday to Me" (normal tempo) during the process, so you wash long enough.
2. Use common sense if you develop runny nose, cough, feel bad, etc. Use tissues, stay home. Call your PCC if it doesn't get better in 3 days.
3. If you have fever over 100.3, call your PCC.
4. If you have recently traveled internationally or through one of the international airports, this is important information to give to your PCC or whomever you talk to about your symptoms.
Be glad that the country of origin is instituting quarantines. It isn't racial. That is how TB was pretty much eradicated in the 50s-60 before medications were available...quarantine.
Yes, TB resurfaced with AIDS. At least now there is treatment for both, but I digress.
