How can corona cases be increasing while deaths are dropping

Huh? English, please...?

Poor old DonDiego doubts it.

But mostly poor old DonDiego doesn't understand.

He can comprehend the possibility of excluding nursing home deaths, because the decedents live there.

But how does one exclude those who work in meat processing plants and manufacturing plants ?

This is in response to Boiler's post too.  There are bunch of stories like this out of Florida, Nebraska and South Dakota.  I will clarify. They are using any excuse they can to underreport.     Link

In places with large coronavirus outbreaks, researchers have recently found thousands of unexpected deaths beyond those captured in the official tally of COVID-19 fatalities.

The analysis suggests the epidemic’s true toll may be between 17 percent and 58 percent higher than published death figures. Health experts say that likely includes some people who died of coronavirus but were never diagnosed as well as others who might have lived had the pandemic not kept them from getting care.

DonDiego "doubts it" because governors in many red states, Florida and Nebraska coming immediately to mind, issued direct orders that deaths in those locations not be counted in the official data released. He is looking at the new doctored numbers.

One can exclude workers in those industries from being counted simply by not...counting them. Ditto prisoners. Their deaths can be ignored or attributed to some other causes---for instance, many deaths in Florida were attributed to "respiratory failure."

The covering up of vital data is necessary to following the Trump-inspired opening up plan. No one wants to say that the emperor has no clothes.

KevinLewis explains: "One can exclude workers in those industries from being counted simply by not...counting them."

How do the counters know the decedent worked in, f'rinstance, a meat-processing plant?

That would be easy enough to either deduce or find out directly. If the person a) died of Covid-19 and/or b) was an immigrant, that would certainly suggest it, and reasonable prudence would involve finding out where that person worked so the authorities could be alerted--especially if multiple such deceased showed up.

Here is Florida's retirement home corona death data.  It has been available all along on Florida's corona site and I viewed it over a month ago.  Positive cases are also available from this site for the retirement homes.

The same sort of data is available on the Florida site for meat packing plants.

I suggest DonDiego consult the governor of Nebraska for his answer -

Whats the best way to knock down the infection rate at meat processing plants? Stop reporting the numbers.

The CDC just listed it counties of biggest concern regarding COVID-19 flare-ups.

LINK

 In descending order, those are:

Hamilton County, Fla.;

City of Manassas, Va.;

Dakota County, Neb.;

East Carroll Parish, La.;

Bullock County, Ala.;

Jerauld County, S.D.;

Buena Vista County, Iowa;

Lowndes County, Ala.;

Woodbury County, Iowa;

Wright County, Iowa.

Damn you probably voted for here, you can not even spell name correctly. Good thing the ballots have the name listed so you can just color it in! Kinda like what you did in first grade.

Pecker, you might get your ducks in order prior to barking about one's spelling.  It's "her", not "here".  I'm confident in my lack of spelling abilities, and you're not the best either.  It's childish, don't you think?

Does this mean that there's hope that you will eventually learn the rules of English capitalization?

I get it, though...if you're a Trumper, your education overall must have been poor. Also, correct English is a necessity in my profession. If the only writing one does on a regular basis is angry, wigged-out internet forum posts, one's English skills might atrophy.

So maybe we, myself included, should be more tolerant of Trumpers' English errors. It's like seeing a dog play the violin. You shouldn't criticize the playing itself; you should be amazed that it is being done at all.

And just for grins---I should note that Stalker's posts, for all their cognitive-disassociated raving, are ususally fairly well-crafted grammatically. He's better than Trump at English (which, I know, is like saying he's better than my three-year-old granddaughter at solving quadratic equations, but hey, give praise where praise is due).
