Let me understand this correctly. Biden's attorney could not site precedent on such a sweet deal, and our resident Liberals know better. If people gets off with such charges all the time as our Libs claim, then why the hell didn't his very expensive attorney site examples?
Why? Because there are no examples. That's what unprecedented means, for gods sake.
And the fact that there are no examples means that the offense Hunter is charged with has never been prosecuted before. It's not that "people get off with sucj charges all the time," it's that such charges have literally never been brought in the history of the United States. "Tax evasion while owning a gun"??? WTF?
How many people prosecuted for tax evasion have ever been also charged with gun ownership as an element of the crime?
None.
So Hunter can claim selective prosecution. "Unprecedented" prosecutions are violations of citizens' constitution rights. The prosecution here knew that if they pressed for more severe punishment, Hunter would fight it--and win. You call this a sweetheart deal. What it actually was, was a plea bargain based on the weakness of the government's case.
I'm pretty sure I'm talking to a fucking idiot here who isn't even remotely capable of understanding the concept.
