I Am Off to Vegas Tomorrow

   Brent and Tom - I have 3 nights at the Palms, 3 nights at South Point and 1 night at the Virgin - all comped. I plan to enjoy relaxing and playing video poker. I have a rental car and will visit Downtown for the boarding pass chips @ the "D" and some free play and food at Circa. I know that I may be asking much of you - but try and keep the moronic liberals at bay, especially Lying Lewis, Mark and PJ. Can you imagine just how pleasant the Sink would be without those three? 

It isn't "necessary," just like it isn't necessary for you to make your widdle announcements. He asked that question for the same reason you made your announcement--because he wanted to.

No one gives a shit whether you visit Vegas or not, except for the mothers of the neighborhood children, who would breathe a sigh of relief if they knew you were going to be gone for a week. So maybe you should put up some posters around town?

Have a nice trip; interesting mix of casinos.  If work is slow and to hot for softball I like to play LVA.  Otherwise I have plenty to do.  Today work is slow.

I like the SP restaurants.  Both Don Vito and PP have excellent food and service and well priced.  

Buffet used to be packed but the quality has slipped and the prices keep going up.

On our last quick trip back in early May we stopped at the SP for lunch.  Both the Cafe and Buffet were packed, so we just went to Steak n Shake.  It was pretty full, but we found a table.  Service was pretty quick and food was decent.  

We prefer Mexican or Asian food, so will try Zenshin and the Mexican spot next time we are in the SP area.

El Cortez also has a boarding pass deal. 

 Yes, I know. One used to be able to do that deal 3 times a year, now it is only once per year. I have done my "once". Since bought out, the El Cortez has little to offer me - the video poker is not good and I refuse to play the newer - all luck - games. Also the blackjack is not worth playing, at least for me.

I tried going to South Point on a Friday night my last trip....the entire parking lot was completely full with about 50 cars aimlessly driving around the lot looking for a space that didnt exist.   The street off to the side was also completely lined with parked cars for about 1/4 mile.      I ended up driving to M-Resort which was nearly empty.

You'd think the casinos would take note of the fact that South Point's player friendly environment ultimately makes more money that charging $20 for a bottle of water.

  Next time try the garage. Plenty of covered parkng and easy elevator access to/from the casino.
