Impeachment baseless!

McConnell is nothing if not a savvy politician. He's calculated that the risks of staying aboard the sinking ship have grown to the point where they outweigh the benefits. After all, he has six more years in office (at least) to think about in the post-Trump era, including the possibility of becoming Majority Leader again. He's playing the long game now.

Of course, as with most of the other Republican rats, his turnaround will be seen as nakedly self-serving. But I doubt that he'll be held to account very much for his four solid years of Trump bootlicking and enabling. Most of the other Republican criminals will similarly suffer few or no consequences. Hell, many of them got reelected!

I'm going to paraphrase Lindsey's Graham's comments on Maria Bartiromo's Sundays Future's Fox program,  it's wrong to impeach Trump when he's left office.  Democrats are trying to divide the country.  Trump is trying to unite the country.  If Biden allows this impeachment, he's weak.

L.G. spoke out against Trump after the riot, now he's done a 180.  I wonder if Trump has dirt on L.G. and is using that as leverage to keep him in line.  I also wonder if Putin has dirt on Trump to keep him in line. 

It's rumored that Edgar J. Hoover would walk into a congress person's office and throw a file on their desk with compromising photos or documents.  That's how he was arguably the most powerful person in D.C.  He had leverage to use against any person that raised any questions about him.

And what's hilarious about that is that it was an open secret that Hoover was an avid cross-dresser. But no one ever managed to snag a photo of him wearing his favorite stylish summer frock.

Graham is a pile of filth, and his word and his loyalty are worth exactly zero, to Trump or to anyone else. He's pivoted back to being a Trumper because he's calculated that it's the best option for his political future--the same way that Moscow Mitch has decided the opposite.

These people are nothing but power-grasping scum. They don't do their jobs, they don't represent the interests of their constituents, and they have no moral center. Yet, the citizens of their states keep reelecting them. So the inescapable conclusion is that those good citizens actually WANT amoral, power-craving criminals to "represent" them. So be it, I guess.

Poor Miss Lindsey gets so confused when transitioning from one alpha male to the next.
