It's till too early to call

I've been saying all along that Trump actually doesn't want the aggravation of four more years in office, but is too proud to decline the nomination for a second term.  He has spouted off enough outrageous crap to make even the most die-hard Republican cringe.  Covid and George Floyd served him well in mobilizing his opposition to heights never seen before. 

Others say his ego is too big to go down that easy, but I think he knew what he was doing.  There are enough post-presidential benefits to sooth any wounds from defeat.

It's so pathetic that Boiler and his ilk can't accept that their hero is losing. Can't be a real result. Must be rigged. Dead people are voting. Deep State scam. Hillary! Blah blah blah blah blah. One thing about Trumpers: they're sore losers. And of course, Trump has pledged to plunge this country into chaos if he loses.

Candy, I agree that Trump's behavior should have turned off all but the most rabid die-hards. But clearly, it didn't. Can this country function if it's half Trumper, especially with a Trumper Senate and Supreme Court? I don't think so. We'll lose the ACA and Roe, and the Republiholes will throw more of their government shutdown tantrums. Gridlock and yelling and screaming. Better than the horror of four more Trump years, but not much.

If President Trump didn't want to win why was he making up to 6 campaign stops across the country every day, while biden on a good day had 1 & frequently took the day off?

I KNEW that all the Trumptards would be attacking me. I don't mind it. But I do wish that what they say would make some sense. Candy is so eager to try to denigrate me that her latest posting doesn't even clear that bar.

I'm quite used to being attacked because I don't approve of the Orange Asshole and the fascist dictatorship he and his lackeys want to build. Remember, I live in a Trumper town. Cars with Biden bumper stickers get routinely vandalized and people waving Trump signs scream at passersby and threaten them if they're not white. What gets flung at me on this board seems quite routine--like being too near the monkey cages at the zoo.

He did that to gratify himself. The rallies didn't make any difference either way; the people who attended them were already diehard (or in this age of Covid, die-easy) supporters. He didn't acquire any converts with his disconnecting rambling, babbling, and insulting.

I think he wanted to not lose more than he wanted to win. It's been all too obvious that in addition to not being up for the job of President, he actively dislikes it. He doesn't have the absolute authority that he had being the Grand High Panjandrum of the Trump Bankruptcy Company, and he resents that.

Poor old DonDiego hasn't attacked you, . . . or anyone else.

I must say that DonDiego does show the restraint and basic social skills that all our other Trumptards seem to lack. His views are distorted (largely by, apparently, a near-lethal dose of Hillary-hatred) and he does appear to be a staunch Republican--which is abhorrent in and of itself. I tend to think of DonDiego as similar to the sympathetic Nazi judge in "A Hidden Life," played by the late, great Bruno Ganz. (That judge did sentence the protagonist to death, however.)

One can carry on a conversation with DonDiego, as opposed to what happens when one tries to talk to Stalker, Tom, Boiler, etc.

We now know that Republicans are not being allowed to look at the ballots.

In Wisconsin & Az, Republicans were given sharpies so that the ballot would bleed thru & invalidate their ballot.

The solution -  states must standardize the process
