Any ballot marked with a Sharpie is being considered valid---though every voter is responsible for seeing that his/her ballot is clearly and legibly marked. Another lie, Tom.

States are NOT obligated to standardize the process, because such decisions are made at the state level, according to the Constitution--which Tom and Trump would both benefit from reading.

Good God.  I can't believe my backward little state with an inconsequential number of Electoral Votes had more modern voting systems than some bigger more fancy states.  Sharpies to mark a ballot?  Really? 

Reminds me of the "hanging chads" scandal some years back.  We didn't have those either.  Sometimes being a backward little state can surprise.

The Sharpie bullshit was just another idiot conspiracy theory dreamed up by some alt-right nutjob. Tom, of course, treats it as gospel. As long as a ballot is clearly marked, it's valid. A Sharpie is in fact a type of pen and uses ink. Nothing wrong with it. Ballot scanning machines can read such marks just fine.

We will, of course, see all sorts of moronic theories touted as to why ballots marked by Democrats are invalid, while those marked by Republicans are fine---all desperation attempts by Donny Sore Loser to overturn the results of the election (you know, that grievous sin of which Democrats were accused during Trump's impeachment).

Contrary to Pennsylvania law, Republican election observers were denied the right to oversee the counting of 120,000 ballots by being forced to stand 20 to 30 feet away from where they were being counted.  And there is still the unresolved issue of the Pa courts changing state law to not verify postmarks & signatures.

In Wisconsin after election observers had gone home, at 3 or 4 in the morning about 120,000 ballots appeared and they all got counted.  This is when the 100,000+ vote swing in favor of biden occurred.

"The Trump campaign also filed a lawsuit in Michigan Wednesday, with campaign manager Bill Stepien claiming Republican observers were denied “meaningful access to numerous counting locations to observe the opening of ballots and the counting process, as guaranteed by Michigan law.”

There are other allegations of fraud or irregularities, late-counted votes and suspected vote harvesting being reported around the country."

The Trump protesters in Pennsylvania (where Trump has a slim lead) are screaming "stop the count!"

But in Nevada, they really are brain-dead morons. They are trying to stop the count, which would give the election to...Biden!  I wonder if tom is taking participating.

Well, Tom will seize on any piece of random propaganda Fox News feeds him and act like it's the truth. Tom regurgitated the claim that Republicans were not being allowed to observe the ballot counting. When I showed that he was lying, he flipped to "they're not being allowed to stand close enough." 

He's also recycling the desperate Trump lies about "ballot harvesting" and "100,009 ballots suddenly appearing." Tom's so weak that when Trump tweets some nonsense he pulled out of his ass, Tom laps it right up.

Tom appears not to understand, or willfully ignores, that ballots aren't automatically counted when they're received---the information they contain, such as the voter's name and address, is checked against voter rolls, and if voters are identified, then the signatures are compared to those on file. If that information doesn't match, the ballot is discarded.

So even if 100,000 ballots magically appeared out of nowhere, they wouldn't be valid, or counted, unless they had been sent in by registered voters.

Trump's claims are bullshit. But people like Tom are still suckered in by them.

Isn't it pathetic that this is all that the Republicans can come up with?

The latest buzz is that Trump started screaming at his lawyer-lackeys to rush out to the courts in the states where he was losing late on Election Day. He told them to file something, anything, to stop people's votes from being counted. Thus, they've filed all sorts of batshit-crazy lawsuits, based on bizarre premises. The Sharpie crap was just one of those premises.

Donny Sore Loser is making himself look like a fool. None of this shit will get as far as the Supreme Court. Trump fantasizes that SCOTUS will save him. But even the radical deranged conservatives on the Court won't buy Trump's arguments. I mean, the entire election is invalid because Sharpies were used at the polls...? Or some other specious bullshit...? The Orange Asshole has lost, and we're getting rid of him. He will be thrown to the wolves and will be spending the rest of his miserable life in prison. Full stop.
