Kevin tells us that California's power costs are high because they don't produce enough reneweable energy, and PJ tells us that Old Town and other places along the lake in Chicago are wonderfully safe. California has the highest energy costs in the lower 48, while the CVS just down the street from Steve's place is planning to shut down because of ongoing roberies and violence inside and outside of the store. CVS mentions how the same drug dealers are back out front of the store a day after being arrested.
It should be noted that California produces 20% of all renewable energy that is produced in the United States.
