Nobody owns "y'all" or "yous" or any other acquired non-pejorative use of language.

I've been continually amazed by how Boiler, our late lamented Stalker, Tommie-poo, and the rest of their ilk think that posting a link to some random shit scraped from the bottom of the internet proves anything...or is ever going to convince anyone to adopt their twisted views.

As a fan of the linguistic disciplines, I approve of "y'all" as a word that clears up the ambiguity of "you" being either singular or plural--something we inherited from the German language. It also carries the implication that the speaker is about to hand you a piece of fried chicken, of which I also approve. So y'all going on using y'all, no matter what some random internet thug says.

Boiler is wrong. It's all he's going to receive.

Note the utter stupidity of taking one person's utterances as proof of what "liberals" say. I could make a similar argument by finding a conservative convicted child molester (which wouldn't be that hard) and saying that therefore, all conservatives are predatory perverts. That would be wrong, as only about 40% of them are.

What does your linguistic discipline study tell you about "yous"?   My mom was from Ohio.   All those folks used "yous" routinely.  As in "How long did it take yous to get here?"   Just curious.
