Kevin, you are a hoot (prone to humorous dialogue, in my neighborhood).
What does your linguistic discipline study tell you about "yous"? My mom was from Ohio. All those folks used "yous" routinely. As in "How long did it take yous to get here?" Just curious.

According to my studies on American slang and idiom, it was also an attempt to distinguish you (singular) from you (plural). Adding an "s" to "you" was actually a pretty logical way to do that.
It also enables some amazing sentences, such as "Youse use U's when youse spell 'ukulele.'"
